This *2 star* caster has: a rare targetable taunt, a slightly downgraded version of Waver's 2nd skill, a slightly more situational version of Merlin's 3rd skill, and an Arash level NP that trades suicide for a built-in plugsuit swap to bring in even more buffers? Geez, talk about a fucking loaded kit for a bronze.
Not to mention that he has great character design, great personality, and great voice. Seriously, Chen Gong is the winner of this year's anniversary.

Oh yeah, Merlin is DEFINITELY overrated when he gives literal PARTY WIDE invincibility one cooldown.
I'm sure Chen will really come in handy against multiple bosses or in a stall team. I'm sure he isn't just used as a single target nuke that MANY OTHER supports already do but also grant survivability and don't sacrifice your own member.

Just now having a realization that the reason Lu Bu seemingly follows and protects Rani VIII willingly even as a Berserker is because she has a huge resemblance to Chen Gong

Funnily enough, that's specifically not the reason. The confirmed reason is that she looks like Diaochan, Lu Bu's lover. Both of the people closest to Lu Bu just happened to look identical to his future Master.

What's really scary is you could use Chen + Double Merlin + one other buffer.
Also Chen can be a DPS that loops his NP while cycling buffers. Lots of ways to use Chen and he is easily the strongest of the new Bronze.

You could actually make a setup with Chen+some support buffer+Waver+Double Merlin+main damage dealer if you have a MLB-ed scope.

I do think dw know what they are doing with this game now, they know that by add extremely strong but easy to get bronze ser in this game, plp won't think much about who to pull in the next banner anymore. Look at how many plp pulling for vampire senpai even though she is totally unusable, plp pull for her simply because they like her, not many gacha game dare to do that nowaday.
Not only is Chen Gong absolutely broken, but Mori becomes even more of a nuke than he already is. Nothing but the best for Best Boi Mori-kun.
He is not that much of a nuke actually. Without stack up from chen gong, his attacks are pretty weak

@@iloveanothermanswives4278 Nobu, Emiya and Raikou are all crit servants and have 2 or more arts cards. Nobu can't even generate her own stars but she does well. Not being able to provide stars for themselves has never been a problem for crit servants.
Really though I quite appreciate the 2 art cards. It makes his NP gain much more consistent. Though I'm not sure what the 20 stars after death is supposed to do. It's nice?

Hans is still the better Bronze whereas support is concerned, what this guy does is enable some pretty busted chain buff (CHEAT) strats which is pretty effing good.

No, he's more of a farmer with explosive art dps and np refill. He also kills off supports that are useless after using their skills to make space for more supports, convenient af in high difficulty quests. Kinda too broken to be a 2 star.

most 4-5* Casters are support-oriented, especially the most prominent ones such as Tamamo, CasGil, Waver and Merlin to name a few
as for 3 star Casters; Medea has the niche of buff remover, Paracelsus is just crap, the only Cu that counts is Lancer (legit, Cu SN says that himself x'D), and the other Casters in 3 star might as well not exist they're that bad
TL;DR it's not exactly any type of achievement to say a 2 star newcomer is better at DPS than most peers in his support-oriented class
@@lynxace1602 Paracelsus is mostly used for his targetable Golden Rule (in JP). Asclepius is a good support with party-wide guts and debuff immunity (also the first pure support caster within his rarity). Babbage's recent buff in NA actually makes him able to outdamage Halloween Liz (at least from what I read). Medea is an enemy buff remover + ally debuff remover in one package.
But yeah I agree the rest of 3* casters are pretty terrible

Man you could probably use Chen with some servants that give a targetable guts with servants that do more damage at low hp to guarantee some insane maxed out damage. This guy is so good for being free. Targetable Taunt + Incredible Party Defense Buff + Mini Hero Creation for Berserkers is nutty.
