not to break kayfabe about it but i love how youve presented this video, like, earnestly finding it as a piece of interesting lost media and stumbling into the creepy bits unexpectedly. it’s a really neat and unique take compared to everybody else just peeking past the facade into the horror aspects
i wanted to do it this way because like. i appreciate the world-building of welcome home that ISN'T the horror aspect and like you said, i don't usually see anyone take the time to present welcome home the way that i personally think it should be presented in,, i think it ends up making the creepy parts more creepy that way

I like this. It gives of Doki Doki vibes, something seemingly wholesome that spirals into madness.
As someone who knew absolutely nothing about any of this before TH-cam recommended me this video on my feed, I spent the first half of this video genuinely unsure if this was real lost media or not. I follow a lot of stuff about real lost media, so I can only guess that's why TH-cam thought I would be interested in this, too. The art style looks about 99% like 70s children's character designs, but there's just enough modern flair in them that it was a bit like "design style uncanny valley". Whoever made this clearly put in their homework and a lot of care and effort to making this look accurate and real. The way you presented it had me waffling back and forth between "Wait, is this really real?" and "No, it couldn't be.... is it?" 😅 Until you got to the creepy stuff. If your goal was to present this as if it was an actual piece of lost media, good job, you nailed it.
that was definitely the goal, i think it's much more realistic and thorough if it's presented as genuine lost media :3
