OMG Happy does this too! We are working so hard on getting him to understand moving off the inside leg right now. It's fun to see that we arent the only ones!
Standardbreds are lovely horses with quiet and trainable temperaments, but I would say it really depends on the individual horse, what your experience is and what you're looking to do with them! Standardbreds are often big movers and many times completely unstarted for riding after their racing careers, so it really depends!

Not at all! Cricket is the same way too, even after all these years he still usually needs a refresher to move away from the inside leg
Alfredo looks like a sweetheart.
He really is, he's such a nice addition to the barn
Hi, How do u messege you, I have a standy and I'm having trouble staying balanced, we are bitless riding
Can you tell me how big your riding ring is?
Probably 70'x60' or so? It's very small, just big enough to do a 20m circle
Would you recommend a standardbred for a first horse? I'm retiring soon, and would like to get a horse

@@ColleenNolanTran thank you
@@ColleenNolanTran there's an adoption program near me. They work with them after racing. Then adopt them out.
