- I had nearly forgot that this was coming. This is the drill attachment that I spoke of in previous videos. Neat little tool, I can definitly see where it would be handy, I do have some minor complaints but otherwise a pretty good little tool.
You can find it at www.huztl.net/...

I never thought that there was a tool that I don't need, only those that I could not afford. My world is turned upside down.
To be honest they sent it to me to review, so I did not pay a penny for it. That said, I cant see passing up a free tool even if I may only use it twice in my life LOL.
I want one! I want one! I want one! Now, you got me all worked up. I could see plenty of uses for it outdoors from putting up fences to repairing barns and it looks like it has enough torque for mortising bit's. It appears to be intended for low speed, high torque auger bits. I wonder how well it would work with larger spade bits. I suggest that you try oiling the bit, even a forstner type, while drilling, especially in green wood which expands and keep the bit moving. It's not going to be everybody's cup of tea. But, a little practice should help.
This is a great tool for using forsner bits. I build log furniture in the mountains of Montana ON SITE where the tree is and this looks like a good tool. This is an off grid option and logical.
You might try removing the chuck and applying thread locker and then screw it back on. At least the chuck won't come off. Channel-lock pliers in the back pocket for backing out the bit. Nice video -- keep 'em comin'!
I have a few gas powered drills and love them for fences and poles. This I could see being handy if you want a gas drill but dont want to spend a few hundred on one. No reverse is not that bad just dont use a self feeding drill and keep revs high.
I can see that coming in handy, working as a lineman, off grid building...... plenty of power..
Would you think a fella could maybe put a couple flats on the chuck and us a large open end wrench to back out the auger. Or rig it to use something like those collet chuck spanners ?
Maybe after using it a little sticking the bit wouldnt be such a problem. Seems that attachment could have lot of uses.
Thank's for sharing it .
With all of the cordless options available today, I see no point in this. I do however appreciate Uncle Cy for another bad-ass video. Thank you sir!
Easier to fill a gas tank in the middle of a farm field than to charge a battery.
Sure beats hauling a genset to the worksite or killing all 6 DeWalt batteries before lunch and still having to bring out the gen, cord and corded tools. Real world examples, timber framing and fencing.... A 2 cycle drill would be near ideal. Bit & brace works great, better than any cordless but not when time is short.
I was waiting for you to call "old school" and reach for one of those hand drills on the wall in the background. :-) Any non-self feeding bit would probably work. It might speed up drilling holes in landscape ties for rods.
I would think if you put the chain brake on you could just spin the saw counter clockwise by hand and it would back the bit out
Hey I saw your truck today on Lee’s summit road, looks like a cool channel.
Thanks man.
You said that if you have oil for the bar still in the saw that it's going to leak out if you don't have oil in the saw for the bar won't that mess up the oil pump for the oil going to the bar
They should put reversal on those it’s not that big of a deal to add a reverse mechanism. might have to go with a Standard wood bit.
I've been thinking about buying one of these saws so I've also been watching a lot of videos about them. It seems like the are good saws but they also appears that they are a pain in the ass to start. Am I wrong?
I have not had an issue with mine. Almost a year later it has seen plenty of hours of use still starts about like a big chainsaw does, not on the first pull but it does start.
@@DIYwithUncleCy I ordered a G5800 and bar from Hutzl. It should arrive next week. Ill be interested to compare it to me echo stuff.
you need a more powerful battery drill my friend, also have you tried out any of the higher end electric chain saws yet ?
The 20volt Porter cable is a great set except for the drill, weird, but been that way since I bought it. The Impact, Circular saw, Reciprocating saw, and multi tool are great but the damn drill sucks LOL.
Have been eyeballing a few just haven't pulled the trigger yet. Would be nice to have for carving inside the shop when the weather is bad.
@@DIYwithUncleCy ahh fair enough, you can't actually get Porter cable where I live although they do look similar to a medium range brand I can get, though there are some crazy midrangers now the local hardware store sells a Stanley or ebrauer that has over 120nm, and ahh ok I must admit a chainsaw isn't a tool I've yet needed but always find tool reviews interesting for some reason lol
Keep the chuck key with your files and guides it's only a little pouch.
Could you tell me where I could get parts for a blue max 57 cc chainsaw? I need the starter spring assembly and the anti kick back bar. Thanks in advance.
The blue max is one of the Zenoah clones. So if you do a search for Zenoah chainsaw parts, then look for the parts that fit their 57cc saws you should be golden.
Thanks so much. My daughters xboyfriend cut kick back bar off it and I want to put it back on. Thanks again.
You should probably file the spir screw down so it won't get stuck as easy
I'm with Phillip Jones below, if I wanted to drill a hole I would use a drill, after all that is what they were made for. A chainsaw is for cutting wood and they work well but I don't see the need to change it into a drill
And when you are 2 miles from electricity and your cordless batteries die how do you drill the holes you need in that fence post for the gate you are trying to hang.
I had to build a corral back in the woods and I used a gas powered drill, and it worked great until I ran out of gas, lol!
@@DIYwithUncleCy Simple I take a brace and bit with me, I have a caravan that has no electric so I have to work with other methods.
i am so glad that it aint just me that this crap happens to , lol
A solution in search of a problem
Just like the new folding screen cell phones coming out.
A collection is supposed to be shown Of All Saws running or Not - just maybe
someone will see 1 they just have to buy & offer you 3 times what it's worth to you!
Hahaha! A Good way to get rid of some so you can get even more Chainsaw! : ) : )
PS. Don't just love that Jawhorse? - Quick & easy clamp Anything all Steel Sawhorse
at waist level in less than 2 minutes! Crazy Ass Drill? at full rpm's you might be able
to push a smaller bit in and out in forward but without reverse will need pipe wrench
to get that bit out ! Should've seen that one coming ! Oh! wait You Did and still did it
Anyway! Hahaha! ROFLMAO! -- Good luck My Friend! : ) : ) : ) : )
YES the Jaw Horse is freaking awesome. I only got it about a month ago, been wondering how I did without it ever since.
MY non-running saw collection hasn't changed since the last collection video other than one of them is now a running saw, so it would be a bit redundant of me to go thru them again.
I think the main problem with it getting stuck was the green wood and the secondary was the feed screw on the drill bit pulled it in too fast, me not keeping the RPMs up didn't help either though LOL.
Couldn't you have just set the brake and spun the whole saw and bit out? Inconvenient, yes but I think it would work.
That would just unscrew the drill chuck.
The auger probably has a snail for softwood. It pulls in too fast for hardwood
Cool but the reverse part stinks I mean if you want to use a drill bit.
Randy D Why?
Anybody got one of the JonCutter G5800 ... I ordered two Dec 22
.. never came and the shipping showed delivered to another state Jan 7 ... I inquired and my shipping then changed and showed the saws were in Hong Kong. Something wrong so I finally got a refund ... I never thought I would be happy with PayPal ... I had 36 previous orders that came in 3 to 4 weeks maximum ... some as fast as two weeks ... I haven't seen a Joncutter G5800 from Huztl on TH-cam since they started selling from Huztl
