Deca doesnt really do a lot other than go places and have competitions lol. They have 3 different levels, Districts, State, Icdc. They offer scholarships too but the main focus are the competitions-

    My 3rd child….
Hubby and I wanted one more. It was not happening. I saw fertility docs and got meds. I peed on stripes tracking my ovulation and period for like 2 years. Eventually docs said I ovulated too late in my cycle to get pregnant. They suggested IVF. I was 37 and about to be 38. I considered the idea but the thought of frozen babies leftover if I actually got pregnant kinda haunted me. I didn’t think I could ethically do it unless I had all the babies. The what if it works and I have 10 babies leftover kinda haunted me especially at my age. After lots of discussion, we decided not to go that route and give up trying.
Instead we used the money we were saving to buy a fixer up house for cash. It was a low cost of living area and we bought it at an auction. The day we went to see the property before the auction was a horrible storm and we actually were trapped in the car in a small tornado. Hubby drove into a ditch and the tornado passed over us. Even with that bad omen, we bought the house.
We spent 6 months doing renovations, making a huge garden, etc. ( We had time as we didn’t want to move till summer so kids didn’t move schools) Every weekend we did stuff. We had to completely renovate the bathroom, fix crawl space and retaining wall under the house, hardwood floors( On my hands and knees replaning floors), put up drywall, made a huge garden outside, etc.
One day there was a thunderstorm and Hubby had to fly out that Sunday. We worked a little that Friday night and went home instead of staying. There was another very bad storm coming so we left between storms.
We woke up to a call that our house was completely burned to the ground. It was struck by lightning. 911 was called but the fire department was sent a blank text and since storm spotters were also sending out weather stuff the blank texts were ignored. By the time the fire department came, it was gone. They just watched it burn. Hubby left the next day as planned for his business trip because it was something he couldn’t cancel/reschedule. I was left to deal with insurance, fire investigations from insurance and the state, local fire chief calling to ask who we knew in town ( neighbors and the 911 dispatcher… we didn’t know the dispatcher). It was a small town where everyone knows everyone and we knew NOBODY beyond basic introductions and hellos. We had moved from out of state a couple years before and lived 45 miles away. I was completely stressed out …. later I learned they GPS map lightning strikes so we had nothing to worry about LOL 😂
So this was mid June. My period didn’t come so I took a test on the 4th of July so I could drink. Not pregnant. Cool. I figured I was just late from stress. And then no period still … eventually I tested again in Late July. Pregnant! They do an ultrasound… time of conception… The flipping night of the fire 🔥 😂.
So my youngest was born because our house was literally struck by lightning ⚡️. ( The stress delayed my period and because I ovulate late in my cycle … it gave the little guy time to implant.)
I really wanted to give him the middle name Phoenix but hubby vetoed it. 😂
( For anyone that cares, Insurance paid more than we paid because they paid replacement costs and we ended up buying another house in August that didn’t need repairs. I was not going to be doing any renovations pregnant LOL 🤣)

Another suggestion to choose is to flip a coin and use it to gauge your reaction. If you aren't sure what you think, flip a coin. If you are happy with the result, now you know that that is something you are happy to do. If the initial flip makes you disappointed, well, now you know you don't want that, and should select the other option. (This is not my original idea. I heard it from the youtube Emma Thorne)

When Elon Musk wrote on twitter that he loved the platform, and someone told him that he should buy it, an idea that Elon opened up to.
    That was in 2017

Probably the only movie theater story I got is when I was in HS I took my gf to a movie as an excuse to be with her. We were 16 and in rural America so movie wasn't always available and usually only one being shown at a time.
We saw "My Super Ex Girlfriend" and had no context of it going in.
Right before the movie started she was complaining about guys at work constantly oogling her and how she thinks that behavior is repulsive.
....the first scene was the main character doing exactly that on a subway. I'm dying laughing at the coincidence while she slinks into her chair facepalming.

I forgot my wallet so I turned back to get it. About half way there after going back a semi truck crashed at the gas station, causing an explosion… the gas station I was going to.
