The tree was beautiful when it was lit. You weren't kidding about a steep hike. Wish I was 40 some-odd years younger. They didn't have hiking or even sidewalk trails when I was young - well, certainly not in flat Texas that I had ever heard of. I would have so loved to have done that years ago. What an awesome and gorgeous view. That charity orgaization to feed starving kids is amazing. What an operation! It's so cool that you guys do that and teach your kids to do these type things. Doesn't get any better than that, you climb a mountain to decorate a tree and you can't because of Vandals Merry Christmas, then you go back down to a nice big ticket Merry Christmas, then you go look at some Christmas lights and the town says no Merry Christmas, welcome to the good USA!!! I also know Camelback Mtn, I grew up (1969 to 1978) in Arcadia, love seeing you guys on it. In 1970 my Boy Scout troop did an overnight camp on the mountain. Believe it or not the parking lot where you got a ticket was undeveloped, there were no homes between 44th street, up to McDonald. All of Echo Canyon was desert. But those evening views of the strings of lights is the same!! Thanks for the memories, and on to 2018!
As I watched this episode I thought I should write you to tell you your statements about doing what you can don't wait for the ideal rig got in my mind and we did it. We bought a 1983 chevy Tioga motorhome two weeks ago and we took it out for Christmas weekend. A great free park here in Western Colorado for boondocking. I should say we have camped for years with lots of setups from tent, to 33-foot motorhome, .and most recently a popup camper. We decided that as we age and hope to travel more 4-6 weeks 3 or more times a year we needed a small rig under 25ft class C but with a separately dedicated bed we thought we would have to wait till we could pay for a newer model but since my husband has been a mechanic electronic technician for years this 1983 with the right layout jumped us in sooner. Thanks for the encouragement! Now we just have to work out work schedules...

Your city officials could be related to one we have here in Wisconsin! We had a 6 block area that used to go wild with Halloween decorations that never ceased to amaze! After about 5 years they were shut down. For that week, it drew an insane amount of people for the inventive ideas on display! Now, like you, all we have are memories!

My fiance and I have been watching your channel since I stumbled across your how-to video about electric and sewer hookups/RV setup process. We are so thrilled with your traveling and RV lifestyle that we want to try it for a year. She is graduating as an occupational therapist this spring to work as a travel OT some place new every 3 months, and we are going to purchase an RV and travel the U.S. . . with six cats.
That's how we got started watching their channel, too!! We bought a 5th wheel and needed to figure out how to do everything! The sewer hook-up video led me to the rest of theirs... and we've been watching now for the last 6 months! :)
RV Cat Daddy if you’ve started RV’ing with your cats please let me know how it’s going. Our travel trailer just got delivered yesterday and after we sell our home we will be full time RV living, but not actually hitting the road long term for a while. We have four cats (all indoor) and I’m a little nervous as to how this will go. Currently we are in a 4,500 sq ft home 😬 and they all have plenty of space to get away from each other lol. Thank you!
