The metal on the floats make them look new. I had bought new floats for a ZX900 and the bound up just like that. Had to drill the hole larger to get them to swing freely. As you said, sloppy work either way...

Two of the float pins were bent. That’s what was binding them. How that happened I’ll never know.

Try Rick's Electric for stator connector. I was able to get some for my KZ1000 there.

You betcha. I'll check into that. I use Ricks for everything electrical component wise.

It looks like many problems on our old bikes are carb related these days due to the crappy gas. do you recommend any additives we can add to our bikes that don't get ridden that often? enjoying the videos.

Not really. Go look at Taryl Fixes All channel. Look back at his series on fuel stabilization. He does like an 18 month eval and found none really offer any long term benefits of any significance.

    These carbs are not Brigg&Stratton.
They need to be rebuilt as if they were scientific instruments, as that is what they are.

You’re spot on 👍 Tom does a great job rebuilding carbs but whoever did these initially hadn’t got a clue. We all have to learn but not on these carbs, they’re too sensitive to attention by morons

Couldn't agree more. As I have said... they are precision fuel metering instruments.
