A hot tub to me is a better way to cope with Alaska’s dark winter for sure

In 1990 we moved from central Florida to South Dakota. My husband grew up there and I in Chicago but it had been many years ago. Our first weekend there, October 18th... it snowed 2 feet. The dog loved it, the kids loved it, but my sister in law said NO! she knew it meant a long cold winter... it was.

Ok, those Northern Lights are magnificent - unbelievable, beautiful! This family has an incredible amount of good quality time together. I can not believe that the children seemed to actually want to get into the ice water. They seemed happy to do it. In an instance like this, I guess you can not tell them 'no' because you do not think it is a good idea or are uncomfortable with them doing it! Oh, boy! 😳😂

@HowtoAlaska ok, so your heart was not in your throat, like mine was! I figured it had to work out ok; because, you posted the video! 😁 Yeah, I get it. My nephew is nicknamed 'Grizzy Adams'. I keep my mouth shut and act like I think whatever he is doing is great! I hang and have 'fun' with him as long as I am able to hang. GOD BLESS EACH AND EVERY ONE OF YOU!

The big northern lights event was a couple weeks ago. Now we know how long it takes you to edit and upload. LOL we had a great show here in northern michigan.
