Sat for Level 1 yesterday. Although I am reasonably confident I passed, the exam was tough. Much more difficult than my mock exams. Can’t imagine what Level 2 will be like. Really makes you respect for those that have earned the charter.

@@jaker5230 Don't sweat it, you know where you need to double down and you'll crush it next time around. As embarrassing as it is to say, I passed level 1 on my 4th try. At the end of the day though, it doesn't matter how many attempts you take, just get them 3 letters after your name!

@@MitchellC03 funny you say that because I just failed my third attempt and going to take a year off before I try again. I won’t ever give up on my future goals

@@jaker5230 you need to change your perspective on studying. I passed @ the 90th percentile on my first attempt. You may not be putting enough effort in or your study process is fundamentally flawed if you have failed it 3 times.
I used Mark Meldrum's program, I highky recommend using him

Mba is good and valuable highly if u do it from top business school or university.
Cfa only increases the chance of getting a good job in finacial sector and increases your knowledge about finance in depth. But Cfa doesn't guarantee that you will be able just to walk into any company and get the job. Cfa is more of a personal achievement and good recognition from employers. I have seen lot of people don't have cfa and mba but doing good jobs and earning high based on networking, references and connections and oiling people. The more oiling you can do the more higher you will climb thats the world we are living nowadays.

I completely agree. Credentials like top MBA programs and the CFA Charter give your resume a boost, but at the end of the day networking and interview skills are key for actually getting the job.

Completely agree. Just because a person complete a CFA or an MBA, doesn't mean he or she will be a CFO or a company manager fresh out of school. Experience speaks volume, more so than degree or certificates. Connection and Network also helped a lot.

I just finished my bachelor in economics , right now I am doing my internship to pwc.
I am interested in investment banking , so in your opinion CFA+FRM or MBA in HECparis university ?
Which is better for the future ?
    Thank you

Thank you for the comment. From what I have seen, networking is the most effective way to get into investment banking, so I would focus on that first. There are articles online that explain best practices for networking into investment banking.
If you aren't able to get in after 2-3 years, then I would consider the MBA, and try to land an IB internship through that program.
In the meantime, you could start the CFA program, or simply take a financial modeling course so you understand DCFs and LBOs for investment banking interviews.
I think you are asking the right questions and should keep getting opinions from people who work in the industry as you decide.

      Thank you for this .
This is exactly what I was thinking .
Networking is the key , in the meanwhile
CFA + FRM give tremendous knowledge and credibility . MBA will come later .
      Thank you for the content.

@@TheHonestGuy1995 idk if the FRM will be all that important for an IB role. The CFA will help more than the FRM, but goin to a T25 MBA program is gonna give u the best shot of making it in by far
