In this video I demonstrate how to program new cards to a Renault Laguna 2004.
The procedure is quite similar for other Renault cards...
In this video I was using the Renault Clip tool, and I had no pin from the car... so had to use another procedure to extract the pin from the car, and then generate the incode... better is watching the video...

Hi, thanks for the video. I got a second-hand card reader that I need to replace now. From what I got from the web, the card reader can be replaced without any programming and it will work with my old card. Is this true?
Furthermore, if I want to make use of the new card so that I have 2 in total, I guess it will mean the new one has to be reprogrammed as per the method you described here. How do I get CLIP to do so and at what cost?

Yes, the card reader I believe does not need programming... it just reads the card and sends the data through the network...
The card, needs to be new, you can get clip from different places... a quick google search and you will find it... including prices...

Depending on the model, there is procedures to do it...
Usually press the start button for more than 8 seconds... or something along those lines...
That will turn the ignition on, and will keep it on until you cycle it...

Hello i have Renault Megane ll 1.6 16v AND it wont not starting, No crank. i think it has immobiliser problem. do you have any ideas how i can bybass it? would CLIP sofware work?

Clip will not bypass immo...
You can virginize the ecu by blank the EPROM... turn ignition on for I think 2 minutes, and the car should start...
(Google it, i am not 100% sure from the top of my head, that this is the way...)
Have scanned the car, looked at live data?
It might be a simple problem..
Like the card... they are prone to fail...

I believe as far as the card reader is not broken (see the other video), and you can get position 1, should work...

Also i can make virgin megane 3 uch ,CAN can clip program uch for megane,3 laguna3 ,i mean all latest model, i wanted to buy can clip to try,but cant find the renault pin extractor for these new BCM with NEC inside. have u done 1, if so make a video ,ur good at using the can clip.as myself being an ex renault techical supervisor,i forgot many things from canclip-abt 10 years,using zedfull.truecode, renault ecu explorer. i have look on you tube,but no one has made a video for bcm with nec processor, i think you can do it,. dealer level they r using canclp to replace a faulty bcm, good quality videos,respect.

In my case, the key is very damaged to the point that the car doesn't recognize it anymore, when inserting the key the red light starts to flash fast (which I believe means that the card is invalid)
So I called a guy who works with these things and he created a new card for me, he said he was able to find the code and insert it in a new card, but even then, the problem persists (red light flashes fast and the car doesn't start)
But the method he used is different from yours, so I'm thinking of trying to solve it myself using your method, could you tell me the name of the accessory you used to connect the car to the notebook? I believe I can find the program on the internet.

Not sure how the code could have been put on a replacement key/card...
Just have a card programmed to it, and go from there...

As per the video, clip will program the key/card with no problems...
The pin is a different story...
Depends on the car, clip can give you the information to get the code using other software... as explained...
If you Google, there is tools out there capable of program without the need of the pin...
It is up to you what is more suitable and what use you are going to give to the tool...
If is for one use only, might be cheaper to just see the dealer and get the code...

I bought the FNR 4 in 1 from aliexpress.com but it couldn't programme the car ( I got PIN NOT ACCEPTED message). From the video, renault Clip gave the bits code that you calculated with the pin calculator, please I want to know if for my type of vehicle the process will be the same . Thank you..
Secondly, please if you are kind enough can you recommend a few other tools that can read the pin direct via OBD II and programme the immobilizer, Key card and ECU...thank very much
Recently I bought Renault Can Clip diagnostics (Chinese clone, not the cheapest, but better version, with golden (fully yellow) board, Cypress chip).
Everything seems to work fine, but when I come at step "card programming" (12:07 minute on the video) I'm missing that option. Instead of SC010 button/option (card programming) I have another option SC006.
I'm not sure what is the cause. I tried more Clip versions, same on all of them. Tried more cars, same... Or it's up to Clip diagnostics, but I repeat, it's better version, not the cheapest one??
What can I do now? Should I maybe buy a Renolink and try to program in it? Or should I buy something else?

Haven't used Clip for a long time, I do know that some stuff on newer versions only work when online and connected to renault servers...
Not sure if that is one of the options though...

As far as you have the pin, should work, however, don't think I have ever tried it... so, don't take my word for it...

Hi there, can you help me with this issue where i have only one keycard, buttons are in their place and solderings are good (light goes on when pressing) but seems that there are 3 really small components missing and maybe that why it doesnt work. So i have been googling a lot, and people say that ebay cards cant be programmed, atleast by locksmith or car dealers, is it true? How much did these keys cost, what you are using? And do they work properly? I am wondering to get Clip so i can program new keys myself. I cant find any other key program hard/software.

EBay cards work just fine... New cards obviously...
You can get them as cheap as £20!
Not sure about what the problem might be with you existent cards...
But if components are missing....

Hello. I have 2003 Laguna with 2 cards. Both cards work for locking and unlocking but neither work for starting the car. The immobiliser light starts flashing rapidly when i insert the card and the radio starts working, but can't turn on the car. Can i solve this issue with clip or i have to get the car to the dealership? Thanks

You either have a bad card reader, or both cards gave the coil broken from the pcb... quite common...
I would be very surprised is is anything else...
But you never know...

@@LMAutoRepairs It randomly started working and was fine for a week. Now the immobiliser light just stays red. Clip shows "body computer - card reader conmection", steering lock as uch faults with red dot. Card reader is fine as it works on another Laguna.
So megane mk2 2006 would be different, I'm thinking of making new cards.
Phase 2... you need to get the pin by dumping the UCH...

Based on your video,I programed two Chinese new cards and the original one.The original card with two buttons inside is damaged and does not open and locks but starts good.One of new is three buttons hand free function.All cards start the car, two new cards locks and open, but the hand free function does not work. The clip sees the hand free card when I loaded ,and says it needs to be programmed first, i programmed it last.This may be a problem?If this is a bug, can I program cards again or is it impossible?Your videos are fantastic,I wish lots of success in life!

Some cars, like Renault, all keys are deleted, and then added again during the programming process...

I've just tried to do this with my 2005 renault megane, everytime i try it clip says insufficient battery level to continue, this was purely on standard battery power.
Spent £300 on a quality used battery stabiliser, set the voltage to the battery at 13.8 volts, still didn't work, then 14.2 volts, still didn't work, then 14.5 volts!! Still Renault clip says insufficent voltage to continue, what the hell??

Last time i tried my battery stabiliser was showing 14.5 volts! And it's a good make of stabiliser, a Gys 70amp model.

Hi, i did exactly as you did but the new ebay replacement key card, only starts the car, the remote lock and unlock doesn't work! why? i got my money back though end ordered another one, like this one with green uncut key in it, did they forget to pre-code the chip PCF7947AT inside the card? please help?

Possible... with the transponder pre-coded I never had an issue...
Ensure that there is nothing wrong with the car, check live data for the car receiving the radio signal from the remote...
And obviously ensure that the remote is transmitting!

Hi, thanks for your quick reply i did check the live data, and the second original key works fine but not the new one, so it can't be the car, and i did fix position one of the reader, and fault code gone, no other fault codes..the led light on the card flashes...

i pull the key out it says please check , it knows that the key is not in(new key card), i put it in it goes 100% OK and still at the end key cards recoreded 0! at this case i only think that the problem is the card so i oredered a new card for laguna, and i will try again when i recive it! nothing less i learned from ur video and i thank u.

Hi and thank you for your superb video.
Few days ago i got my new card for my laguna.
I programmed the new card , but I forgot to offer my working card while programming.
Now, the new card is working, but the old was not working.
I tried to program the old (original) card, and BINGO, was coded and it's working again.
Now, both cards are working.
I'm assuming that even if you forgot the offer the original card, still you can program afterwards, as long as you have one programmed card.
Maybe this will be helpful to someone.

If I program the card which is not PRE-Coded, I will be able to start the vehicle, but remote will not work right? Is there any way to fix this? I don't want to return the card to the seller and wait few more weeks.

There is other tools out there to do the pre-coding... clip ( if is that one you are using...); can't do it...

You might be able to do it with the ds150... I never really worked with it, so don't take my words for it... but you will need a blank transponder to program to the car...

Yes... you enter procramming mode, and when the software askes you to put the key, you put it in and the car you programme it...
Ensure you do all the keys at the same time, otherwise any keys not used during the programming will stop working...
You will most likely also need the pin code from the car...

interesting video. ive watched a few of yours very informative. the 2005 laguna i have seems to have the circuit board doing the doors but a seperate transponder chip black block about 10mmx5mm that does the starting . will programming like this work on those cards. are the ones u are using (that i guess have the big round coil on the circuit board) work? Also the car i have is the one where you dont need to insert the key - im not sure what they call it.. keyless start or something - whats the situation with adding those cards?

The key less works together with the transponder... as the code is stored in there...
You can code no key less cards to a key less vehicle and vice versa...
Obviously you will loose the keyless function if you program a non keyless card, and you will not gain keyless if you program a keyless card to a non keyless car...
A bit confusing... but hope it makes sense... The programming procedure is however exactly the same.

I does make sense - I think the only actual difference with the keyless card is they receive requests from the car to transmit back to check the cards there... Are aftermarket keyless available anywhere ?
There is actually the other way round... the card is constantly transmitting... the car just captures the signal when the card is close enough...
There is aftermarket keyless cards out there... I bought them in the past...

You mean Winols?
If yes, you are referring to the modification of the maps on the ecu, correct?
Winols is a good choice, but you need to have a good knowledge about what to look for, as most of it is done manually...
There is softwares out there, that are more automated, and easier to understand and use, although not so accurate...
Still, you need the tools to download and upload the maps from the ecu...

I tried to program key card on Scenic 2007 with this procedure and I'm not able to create pin code.
When I put isk code to the Renault pin extractor says: Invalid isk code.
I tried from 18-23 byte, also with 18-24 and still says Invalid isk code.
But if I change immo box from MC9.... to for example Johnson controls or Sagem 9366 I can create pin code.
What can be the issue?

Not sure about that one, but, some modules like megane fase 2 for example, the ISK is encrypted...
So the ISK that clip is giving you although is correct, is also encrypted.
Pin extractor can give you the correct code, but you need to dump the rom and then load it into the pin extractor...
Now, this is the procedure on a megane fase 2, please make your research on yours, as I never did one of those, I can't really assure you that this is going to work.
But if you attempt it, please report the results...

Is the Renault pin extractor... it works on megane phase 1, phase two, it does find the pin, but you need to dump the MCU...

When you fail it fails, why it fails, at what stage?
It should program, although you still able to find the 3 button cards...
Which tool are you using?
truecode, renault can k-line. zedfull. lag2 ph2 2008 hands free card=3 button,/ program a 2 button card with the 3 button handsfree system. it just doesnt accept the 2 button card, what i read off the bottom of a tool is u can program a handsfree card onto a non handsfree one but cannot program a 2 button card on a handsfree system. have u done for alaguna 2 ph2 handsfree sysytem 3 button to a 2 button.

I usually get the correct matching card...
I have done an hands free to a non hands free car, but was on a scenic... customer supplied the card, and got the wrong one, but programmed just fine, clip although warned me about it during the programming...
I have done Laguna hands free and non hands free, but as I said I usually try to get the correct cards...
