This might sound crazy but check your wire outside your house that your cable or wireless service may have been chewed by squirrels I bought a brand new router and a modem I unplugged a thousand times I did everything replace all the cable boxes went into my phones and you know still could not get a full Wi-Fi signal and I'm right above the router in a bedroom and I was not getting full Wi-Fi a cable guy from Xfinity said my wires were chewed he showed me the wire from the telephone I live in the middle of nowhere but squirrels like something in coaxial cable this happens alot just not in the country side of intercourse PA but even in big cities squirrels chew your wires if all else falls check your telephone pole cause it happens

If what she suggested does not work, try pushing in the "restore" button in the rear of your router.
I spent hours troubleshooting and when I did that simple thing, my broadband connection returned. 😉

We have installed a switch relay at an extension cord so I don’t have to remove the wire like you did always. Is there any way I can prevent this from happening? We just upgraded our WiFi router to a newer one and I’m about to change the cable modem to a newer one as well. Will that make a difference? Could it be that the cable modem overheated from multiple sources of HD streams? Wondering maybe due to people working at home in neighborhood could be an issue? I hate having to reset my WiFi router over and over. Any help?

@CheesePuff_00 turns out it wasnt the router, apparently our dog chewed up some wires from our power box, but we fixed it later on

Okay my devices say I’m connected to my wireless router the router it’s self says there’s internet and it’s connected the modem is connected and receiving data cause the lights are flashing but I have no dam internet nothing loads up it’s annoying. I unplug and reset everything and still same thing everything says it’s connected but still no internet. I give up some nights and sometimes it just fixes itself I can’t explain it

My Net Gear router frequently dropped the WiFi signal. I found it was hot to touch so i raised it on a 2x4x2" block of wood to let air cool it and no problems since then.
ive tried every single method that showed in the youtube and none of them worked "including in this video" the only method worked for me is
close my wifi then unpulg my etheret from router and my pc then wait 30 seconds and pulg in the cable into router and pc then wait 1min/60seconds then open wifi and wait 2m/120seconds then change ur cable (optional) place for exmaple if u have 4slots and ur cable is on the third slot then change it to the 1 or 2 or 4. hope this helped becasue ive been trying to solve my issue Been like 4hours and just solved it.

My router was working fine but it was one the end of its cycle so it was running on 1mbps,so as the new month it renews the pack at 12Am....so i turn the router off for a while then when i swutched it on I can connect but no internet access

As was my case, if you didn't know what color it was because of dust, unplug it to clean it if the video doesn't help. Also make sure the vents are clear and that it's not overheating. I stole these ideas from Techquickie's video though, so like theirs if this works. Just wanted to help the channel that helped me and maybe someone else
My Spectrum (askey) router delivers over 200mbps. I have it hard wired to a WAVLINK NP-3 external router located outside. It delivers a speed of only 12mbps. I'm using Cat7 cable and the distance from one router to the other is less than 20 feet. WHY does the WAVLINK give such slow speeds?? Is WAVLINK poor quality?

@@loganwarner5147 Really only 3 - 10 seconds. The wait is for the Time To Live on you IP address assigned to you computer to expire and for the router to give you a new one.
Also I still have my old Motorola Surf Board like the one she has. Too bad my cable company will not let me use it. They constantly want you to rent a Modem. such a waste of money. Just buy one and give the cable company your MAC so they can add it to their firewall and pair it with your account.

well this was worthless. I have turned off then on my equipment a hundred times at this point. I replaced my modem and my router....not cheap...wifi still does not work. if I plug directly into my modem I have internet so I know I am receiving it thru the lines but can not make it go wireless thru my router. I am baffled and very frustrated because we have so many thing in this house that require wifi.
