Just discovering you as I recently started to make designs with broken jewelry pieces. Love your videos. You have taught and melted me so much!

HI there, we use mostly things we carry at B'sue Boutiques, my website. ;-) But here and there might add a little vintage bit. Thanks for watching!

Brenda, thank you so much for the great videos. And as for the ads, most of us that buy from you know you have really high quality things. Most cheap lockets are from China anyway, and they are made poorly. You would not sell bad quality ANYTHING! So I am all good. Don't worry too much!

Welll.....true confessions. I always said NO CHINESE. But there are no real US locket makers anymore. So you either buy vintage when you find them....and most of those turns out were made in Hong Kong....or, you buy Asian import. The thing is to know your supplier. I do know mine. The quality is quite good. Started with the ones I got from 1928, then I found out they were Chinese. So I had to find out who made them, not easy. But for the money, the ones I buy are made well. Many websites who carry things like this don't understand vintage style quality, but I do.

Brenda, I can tell you for one I am a youtube watcher and I pay so VERY little attention to any ads on TH-cam... Oh and we need a 1928 retreat!!!

That watch locket with the whitish patina is pretty!
I know what you mean regarding technology. I still need a video camera before I can do craft technique videos and don't have a clue about video editing, so I hope I will find a camera that's simple to operate and that when I do get it my video quality will be good enough.
By the way, how do you get the camera positioned above you to show what you're making?
Intersting info about Victorian revival. I didn't know what that meant before.
That piece you were working on would also look beautiful as a choker on rich reddish brown velveteen ribbon!

IAMGiftbearer Hi we use our phone for a video camera and we put the tripod on an angle on top of the table. But our newest videos are on a light ring and it just bend over to the table.

Oh so you actually put the tripod on the table in front not behind you? What kind of phone do you use? I tried using my Android phone and I couldn't get good picture or sound quality. Then when I uploaded to my laptop it had no sound and then said it was incompatible. After that it refused even to transfer video. I think I know what you mean about a light ring but am not sure how you keep a phone from falling off of it. Do you tape it to it or use clamps or something? This would be a good topic for a video in and of itself.

IAMGiftbearer I use a iPhone and I used to use a program call Adobe premiere elements. Now my video camera girl named Javi use her Mac laptop to the editing on iMovies.

Thank you for this very informative video. I enjoy your ideas and natural flow of honest comments.
I avoid gluing pieces together because I am afraid the finished piece will eventually fall apart. I sure don't want to sell something that will disappoint my customers, and therefore cause them to never buy from me again. I have used E6000 to glue some very small and simple items together, such as a small cameo into a bezel setting and have not had a problem. But for larger pieces that will be handled a lot, such as these lockets that invite the wearer to open and close them, does E6000 REALLY hold THAT well? Won't the pearls and branches pop off the little chests if they are worn on long chains and knocked around? Glue just makes me nervous. Am I wrong to be so concerned?

I am so glad you answered this, I've always been concerned about this well. Now I will use E6000 with no worries. Thank you, and I love your videos.

Thank you for the fast and thorough reply. I found your videos on TH-cam about a year ago and really do love how you demonstrate your techniques & share your projects. :-)
