For me to, typically, click on a perfume video, there's usually a combination of factors:
1) Do I watch/enjoy the content creator?
2) Does the title strike a chord of curiosity in me?
3) Does it at least appear to touch on something different than the norm?
Those are really what do it for me. As always, I love your videos & content, my brother. You raise that bar & inspire change, which I will always applaud & support. Be safe.

Justin, bummed I missed the live stream but a great video nonetheless! Just my two cents, it would be cool to see you do some more in depth reviews in regard to one specific fragrance, focusing on your favorites. Although it would obviously cater to a more specific audience (which I understand may diminish mainstream appeal, views etc.) it would give serious enthusiasts a more educated perspective on the scent before deciding on whether or not to get a decant/sample. Just an idea from someone that appreciates your perspective! All the best! ☺️✌🏻

Great content right here. Surprised you’ve tried Harmonist Sacred Water. The house as a whole flies under the radar. Really enjoy that one, smells like an aqueous frankincense. Music for a While is one of those fragrances that I hated the first time I smelled it and now I love it can can’t get enough lol
Really enjoy your channel. I think you strike a fair balance in your reviews. As someone just coming in to fragrances it’s nice to go back and watch old content.
I think for me I’m looking for advice on what to actually look for when choosing a fragrance. Like how do you evaluate beyond “this smells good” how do we approach something completely new, we’ve never watched a review, how would you approach evaluating a new fragrance. I think that kind of video would be cool.

Light Blue Forever is great at 90F+.
Light Blue Italian Love is a newer release that is 90% the same, a bit more mass appealing.
Hey Spleenful - what do you think of the drydown? I only did one test spray on the back of my hand at a Macy's back when it came out and I have no recollection of the drydown. The opening was magical for me.

Justin nothing wrong with being different. I do same thing don't follow the trend that 99% of population is following make you a lemming lol it better to be different and that makes you standout more and unique. Only reason i follow you guys for reviews is that in the last 7 years ive hardy ever got to go to highstreet for shopping since work and definitely family life takes up all my free time online is a god sent
What does it take to click? I don't click on new videos much... once I got the bug I floated around searching for a foundation. So that was a lot of top 10s. I would argue... this led me astray. Once I had narrowed in on a fragrance I would then search based on that fragrance. Then as a I got to know people, I would click on videos where it felt that I would gain some knowledge. The top ten lists may attract new eyes, but personally those are the videos I don't watch because, typically, they include too many frags I already know about. Innovative top tens attract me because it feels like it expands on my knowledge foundation - there's a familiar access point and then it jumps off in an unexpected and fresh direction.
The Frag apprentice, I typically click on all his videos because he wears his eccentricity on his sleeve. Justin's videos, I'm on a streak of clicking on, because he's being so insightful and philosophical about fragrance and about what he does.
That's what's crappy about the hustle here: top 10s attract more novice (disposable) eyes, but rejects probably the more loyal and educated audience. I feel this struggle!

Topics on performance, latest drops, alternatives, reviews, unique scents is what can cause me to click on, it doesn't matter who they are.
Sorry i missed the live feed, but watching now. Since 2018 november i have been buying up to 1 or 2 bottles each month odd time 3 spending up to £250 plus. But after one of your videos made me think i wasting money in a way i could do better things with at moment considering i have 30+ bottles there to cover all occasions and weather but i noticed most copy the vibe of each other which does make it boring even with some niche there doing same thing. So for last 3 moths I've been taking my wife and kids out each month and spending that extra change on them more things actually better then any aftershave i have lol. Only wear aftershaves because i don't really sweat and don't like the smell of 99% of deodorants unless by a designer . Plus my women gets turned on by my phormones 🤣🤣🤣 already i like to try get everthing they need or want but that extra to take them out each month is bonus. Treated my 2 son and partner to a £275 meal in a private dome in April,last month we all went to the beach and had a meal about 12 of us. And end of this month we going to take all the kids to lego land.
You sure you didn't get the other Brioni mens fragrance? The other bottle style thats listed on fragrantica has the ozonic and violet notes you mention, but perhaps they're carrying over some of the DNA from one to another

Sorry to missed the livestream but I will try to answer your questions.
You are and Mr Smelly are the fragrance content creators that are thinking outside the box and for that reason alone I am more likely to click on your non generic videos. I enjoy your listing vids and reviews in general but when you do something different, I usually take a look and always hit like on all your TH-cam content.
On the flip side, I also watch vids that might have a fragrance I like, have or wish to purchase in the thumbnail so I guess it's important to know what fragrances are in the video prior to clicking.
If you're doing these livestreams regularly then maybe give members of the fresh squad to join you live also. I for one would love to chat with you about fragrances in general 😁

Missed the live but what I look for in a video is the authenticity of the person, not them being a salesman. Their marketability like yourself, BowTie Fragrance Guy, Big Beard Business, TLTG, Monika Cioch, and Cherai I know I’d mess her name up but you guys are baseline what I watch because of that. Introducing new styles of vids and different openings as I’m waiting on Custin to return patiently. I appreciate your content as it’s fresh, it’s updated and it’s not typical adult related and induced with facts and some opinion also ✊🏾✊🏾💪🏾💪🏾

I’m not tired about top 10 vids. I am tired about the same old cycled scents reviewed over and over and over. With 80,000+ fragrances in existence I don’t find that too hard to do as a fragrance enthusiast. Not saying that to you specifically….just in a general sense.

I made a decision some time back to not click on thumbnails with women in the thumbnail , if the woman is not the reviewer itself. I am taking a personal stand because sniff and rates are just dreadful, honestly I dont care if some randaom person on the streets, who knows nothing about scents likes how I smell or not. Also why does nobody does reviews, it is all quick first impressions and banal lists. I wish people did in-depth reviews , long ones about unique stuff. The kinda stuff robes08 used to do . I am not against list videos but they should be unique with unique scents .
I click on all videos of the people I subscribe to. If the video has nothing of interest to me or it is something I have seen from others over and over again, I will skip the rest of the video. The content creator will get a view, but not a like. I will always watch a video that contains something that is different and innovative and will give it a like and maybe even comment.

Justin, I like your channel - but I’m not obligated to watch everything you put out. Do your thing, I’ll watch or I won’t. This constant complaining about your new ideas instantly not hitting gold is getting a bit old. Sometimes it’ll take many videos before people start realising it’s worth a watch. My point was a lesson I took from the music industry. No point saying how innovative your music is ‘if only people would immediately all flock to hear it’. You got to either grind at it, or accept the audience isn’t interested. You won’t know till you’ve tried the former.

You are more than welcome to watch or not watch whatever content of mine you wish. I appreciate when you decide to watch. But I’m not exactly sure why you felt that you had to to “teach me a lesson” and try to invalidate me. If you don’t want to watch a video, you can just not watch it.
The response to that idea in the video has been positive. Yours is the only feedback like this I’ve seen. If anyone else was offended by my candidness, I guess they didn’t say anything.
