The main cons are shorter duty cycle and smaller batteries with less capacity. They are very tiny, but so are the Sanwu Guardians, with much improved duty cycles and battery capacities
I got a 5mW blue/purple beam, focusable, came with the 2 battery, 2 18650 lithium ion batteries, and the beam divergence is pretty bad. It was only $21.94 total, from Etsy. It can burn, on a rather low level.
$90 such an amazing laser and all those things that were included? Bruh, this is a dope company. Sure it's China so it's supposed to,be cheap, but still, that's still pretty cheap for the received package.

They have a 150mW 450nm blue version with a single mode diode (much better divergence), it's one of the few options that doesn't increase the base price

Cant manufacture and sell lasers pointers above 5mw, to civilians in US., blame congress. You can still get "lasersL, but require expensive permits from FDA.
You can buy any high powered lasers you want right now til your heart contents, the laws are barely if not at all enforced, especially now with the Trump administration running the FDA.

My next laser will be a Sanwu or Jetlaser. Don’t skimp on the safety goggles. That’s more important than the cost of the laser. I have a video of my 445nm Star Trek phaser on my channel if your interested in seeing it. It’s a custom build.
sanwu makes some of the best lasers out there, have a few myself and I cant say enough good things about them. You should try the guardian next , its shorter but fatter than the pocket but with more powerful diods :) clearly a favourite of mine and I have the pocket aswell

I have been looking and pricing on Sanwu and the blue lasers are the most pricey and videos show the burning that it can do. The more I look into this, the more I realize that lasers are seriously dangerous and as cool as they are, they aren't for joking around to show your friends. Besides the obvious, there is little to no real world use for an overly powerful laser and it immediately points out where you are standing, the blue ones aren't as bright as the green and don't really burn stuff like you'd think a $500-800 item would. I'd like a powerful light to point at stuff but don't really want to hurt stuff or pay fines for accidental damage. So is red or green in a lower power what I am looking for or do I just buy a high power led flashlight (that has real world uses) I think I answered my own question.

I purchased the sanwu pocket 635nm 200mw (low divergence). Very good beam quality. I ve no problems with overheating.

So the beam won't be a small dot far away even when focused to infinity? Not sure if that's going to be a deal breaker for me.
Even a perfectly collimating beam will diverge and lose power over distance because the light is absorbed and refracted through air molecules.
