Fun Fact... I was an extra in E.T.! I was in two scenes. I was one of the students, screaming and running in the frog release scene, when Eliot released all the frogs. Then, I was a kid dressed in a Halloween Costume (Batman/holding my mom's hand) crossing the street, then again walking on the sidewalk. My Brother was friends with one of the guys riding in that BMX bike chase! He was a pro rider at the time. 🤙🏻 We❤️The GiV
I’m 56 and I actually assisted in building most of the prop part for RoboCop two back in the mid 80s at a Corvette shop in Monrovia California a guy that worked for Orion pictures sublet the work out to this Corvette shop that my buddy worked at he called me to come in and we built like 10 or more of each partof the costume that were made to be destroyed in the movie and I’m telling you it was a lot of work bleeding fingers lots of sanding no CG back in those days just hard labor. I wish I had pictures that was a great memory in my life.
I love how everything else gets a heart but this awesome reply didn't that's absolutely brilliant mate I loved RoboCop one of my favourite movies of all time.👍
That’s awesome. Also many movies still use practical effects. Sure most crazy stuff is digital, but practical is still best. In Predator when the creature takes off the mask? It looks like a believably real creature. Just ridiculous. The latest Predator movie called Prey also used some practical effects if I recall correctly. Also Alien was just nuts looks so real to this day.
When you're standing in a room of people buying things like that and casually talking with the man who designed clothes for Michael Jackson, its safe to say living your dreams does come true. #nevergiveup Love the GIV!! Great video, thank you!🎉
I rode BMX bikes in the 80's also.. born in 68' and I saw E.T. in the theater. It was a huge hit all summer long. My mom cried but then E.T. didn't die so we went and saw the movie like 10 more times over the summer.
I've been to many auctions, but this one with Hollywood memorabilia is really outta sight! You are so lucky to be there. Thanks for filming it and "taking us along."
I used to ride my bike with an ET plush toy on the front basket. At a red light in West Hollywood some older gentleman engaged me in conversation. He stated that he was one of the kids that rode their BMX in that iconic scene. Now he works in finance or something similar.
Hi Mike, I saw Farrah Fawcett in Ontario, California when Charlie's Angels filmed at The Ontario Motor Speedway in 1978. The episode titled " Angel Come Home" I saw Farrah Fawcett from about 100 feet away. I saw Farrah at the Holiday Inn in Ontario, California ( 10 Freeway and Vineyard) as she was getting into her motor Coach heading to Ontario Motor Speedway to film a Charlie's Angel episode. Farrah was wearing Blue Jeans and Nike Tennis shoes and white blouse .Beautiful memories .❤ Farrah Fawcett looked very beautiful ❤
Hi Mike! My favorite videos that you do are the Hollywood get together for souvenirs and autographs and these auctions are fantastic. The more you can keep in contact with Hollywood and all the props you gonna get millions of viewers. In my opinion. Keep up the great videos. I really enjoy this channel .🇩🇪🖤❤️💛
None of this stuff is worth a fraction of that. Once you get it home it just sits there. I know, I've bought a few Hollywood items and once the luster wore off of having it, I turned around and sold everything.
I love Marilyn but I can't believe an unknown dress from her, in bad condition, was 200.000 dollars while the Elliot ET bike was 80.000... that is odd... it also seems people forgot about James Dean, not much bid for those shoes.
Good job, Mike! 7:05, That's Monica, my dear friend and Marilyn tribute artist! She's awesome and very talented. She's also well known in the Marilyn "community" and Marilyn Remembered Fan Club. Marilyn's black dress there, yeah, her dresses sell big time once they are authenticated. There are false and fake ones out there just like her signature as well. Be careful.
ET is my favorite movie. I remember my friend's dad talking about it in spring before it came out. I had hopes, and then saw it and it was sick. I was 10. I have never seen anything that good since.
Mike, I find your broadcast style to be in the style of the great, late Huel Howser of 'Californias Gold' on PBS. Very smooth delivery. Relaxing to watch. Material for the everyman. Your videos are an instant vacation. ( Milton Berle ). Alles gute...
Awesome... you can feel the excitement just from watching this vid. Amazing how popular ET still is... up there with Marilyn Monroe! I imaging the Ark of the Covenant got a pretty penny too... Raiders is another timeless movie. Hope you get to go to more Auctions.. I alway wondered what it was like at a Julien's Auction.. now I know. Thanks to the GIV! Now you better find a safe place for that dress. ha
when someone is straight forward and good at what she does best. People will always speak for them. For me I can would say give Mrs Sonia Duke of finance education a try and you be happy you did
Mrs Sonia Duke is gradually getting the recognition she rightly deserves. She's worked for it and this is only a testament of her good works for families
Great job with the interview portion with Michael Bush. Great eye contact with him! You normally interview, looking only through the monitor of your camera. It was great to see you looking at the person, then going back and forth between him and your viewing audience. Great job Mike, you looked like a Red Carpet interviewer for E! Entertainment TV! 🤙🏻
Mike, very good to see you start to look at the people you are interviewing. Looking at their faces. Eyes. This looks SO much better when you do this. It does. Keep it up! 👍👏
Mike, you are bidding left and right on all of this stuff. TH-cam must be really is paying off! 🤣🤣 I think you going to need a bigger storage locker! 😂😂 What an enjoyable time at the action!
Seeing the kuwahara bicycle is fantastic. As well as the bench from the labowski dude movie. And robocop! But the guys dancing at the beginning of the video leaves a lot to be desired 😄😛
You and your mom have been blessed with good health. I’m 46 on hospice and lucky if I make it to 50. I’m a subscriber to your channel and love watching you and your adventures. Much love to you and your family , Gogo and Chip and Pepper. They cracked me up. You ought to do a Vegas trip with them! Thank you for all the hard work you do.
John McLains badge, Elliot’s bike, and Wonder Woman’s corset, would be the top three things I’d be interested in if I had the cash. Surprised the RoboCop outfit went for so little. A great video of something most of us would never get the chance to go to. Thanks GiV!❤
Hey Dude ( GIV ), when your mini e bike is old you could auction it off for around $50,000. The famous GIV sat on that bike while he made all of his famous videos. 🤙
Wowwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww, Mike, u find the coolest shite to take us too!!!! Imagine, all that money flowing at that auction, wow!!!! OMG, Elliot's bike, $80k, wowwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww lol That was fun Mike, but when is it not fun!!!!! U really get around lol Thanks so much for taking us along and sharing!!!!!
Wow! Fab video Mike! I enjoyed seeing the items get auctioned off. Actually I call all that stuff "dust collectors"...Unless peeps have a special showcase to display them in their home. 👍 God Bless you always🙏💰🙏💰🙏
The Monroe dress really comes into full context once you added the photo of her and her husband Joltin Joe. Bob Hope was also in that photo which added to the mystic.
Good evening Mike, it's interesting to know what went up for auction for E.T. i have a real movie poster of E.T. framed in black metal frame hanging on my wall, i got it years ago late 90s about 1997 for $30.00. thanks for sharing this E.T. auction to see what will be bid on. You take care.
It was cool to see you actually looking at the person you were interviewing/talking to; the Michael Jackson costume designer. You should do it more often Mike!
I’m 52 now but I remember E.T. From my childhood and the iconic BMX chase scene. From the age of 13 to 15 I had 3 BMX’s. The first one was an 1981 Ironhorse Dirt Burner. The second was a Raleigh Mag Burner and my last BMX was a Haro Freestyler that was stolen from my dads garage on our housing estate by a so called friend. Later I had him arrested and my mum claimed for my stolen BMX on the house insurance. But that E.T. Bike was out of this world and forever immortalised in film. The 80s was a special time because Steven Spielberg was on a roll with E.T., Close Encounters of the Third Kind and Jaws. As a film director he captured the mood of the 1980s like no other. 👽 🚀 ✨
Thanks GIV ...glad to be observing the items for auctions, and the prices. Have always equated auctions with gambling...can you expect real value at the Roulette table or $ 80,000 for a bicycle with your money ? Wow alot of dough being spent at this auction! At alot of auctions there is a bar where the booze is free....gotta show your bid card though.
In the 1970's , I had a t shirt with Farrah Fawcett on the front of it wearing her famous red bikini. That dress of hers looks like what she wore in the movie Logan's Run.

Cool! I have 20 copies of E.T. on VHS 😂 I'm gonna look for you next time I watch it.
What great memories!
Cool
Were you labelled as an ExTra?
Very cool dude

I was born in 68 too. And had a couple bmx bikes before switching to 10 speeds.
That summer we all saw ET at least 6 times!
@Acidburn9691 Yes those were the bikes everybody had! I had a Diamondback.
@Acidburn9691 True mine was bought used... Cook Bros. was the most expensive.
I've been to many auctions, but this one with Hollywood memorabilia is really outta sight! You are so lucky to be there. Thanks for filming it and "taking us along."

Such a cool video, I've always wanted to see one of these auctions; Thanks to you now I have!
None of this stuff is worth a fraction of that. Once you get it home it just sits there. I know, I've bought a few Hollywood items and once the luster wore off of having it, I turned around and sold everything.
It's all just material bullshit, who cares who wore it, it's still just fabric and thread, probably a replica anyway.
To be honest it's all worthless
@@ColdHardTorontoNone of this stuff impresses me.But what would impress me is, if people would get smart and stop voting for the democrats.
No need to be angry about it, once you’re bored with a collectible you sell it and buy something new. Not a big deal.
It's worth whatever someone will pay for it.
GIV, this it totally class! Thank you.

Love how much you cram into one video. Brilliant work from the GIV. Thank you from the UK!!!
Love Props/Costumes of Hollywood! Great vlog thank you GIV to share!! awesome! Enjoy and have fun!
You would think they would have found a basket for the front of the ET. bike .
Whether it was the original or not.
Good video GIV !

The bike C. Thomas Howell was riding is actually worth something.
Always a thumbs-up for the GIV!
Certain people with the money will pay what ordinary people will not (even though they can afford to).
I'm favoured, $130K every week! I can now give back to the locals in my community and also support God's work and the church. God bless America.
As a beginner what do I need to do? How can I invest, on which platform? If you know any please share.

Seeing the kuwahara bicycle is fantastic. As well as the bench from the labowski dude movie. And robocop! But the guys dancing at the beginning of the video leaves a lot to be desired 😄😛
you have natural skill at what you do. keep it up!! thank you!!
that bicycle wasn't even screen used, that's the one they used for promotions. it's not the one from the film.
80k and it was used not in the movie ??? what a scam

$80,000 is too much for a bike like that and instead of auctioning all that stuff off. They shouldn’t have all of that in a Museum
I won 3 of Marlon Jackson costumes 2 of them was from the Victory tour. Juilens Auctions I mostly bid on Michael Jackson items!
If I ever go to California, I want to hang out with you.

Surprising to see that they have bidding steps of 50k, but I guess that is a tactic to get prices high.

Think you for the look at the high rollar auction
For $80k, that bike better be an actual flying bike, lol.

Those appetizers needed to be hydrated to level 4. They were tiny! lol
Thank you GIV , was a great experience 😊👍
Always great video!!!
