Excuse me, I’m under 50 and grew up watching those ladies in action. My friend and me always wanted to be Cagney😆. My favorite show to watch after school. New York in the eighties. Fantastic! That and McGyver 🤣 .

I ALWAYS wanted Tyne to guest star on QAF. Tyne is one of my favorite people EVER. I love Sharon, but Tyne is one of my favorite actresses and personalities. I liked Judging Amy also, and I TRULY believe it did SO well BECAUSE Tyne was in it.
She did guest on Burn Notice, but I’m with you she would’ve been great guesting on QAF.

Love them. Watch them everyday in 2020 during the pandemic, on US START TV. I never saw it in the 1980s. Love the show, the dialog is great.
I just change my cable package I now get START TV. It was so great to find that they ran Cagney & Lacey every day! I never watched it back in the 80s so I'm really loving watching it now. I DVR it so that I don't miss a single episode, still stands up today, just fantastic acting and dialogue.

Tyne Daly is far too modest when she says they didn't know what they were doing. I think the acting in this show was top notch from the get go and the chemistry between her and Sharon Gless was unsurpased. My favorite cop show ever.

The actor who played Harvey just died. I was shocked to find out he was around 86 years old. He and the Marybeth character were just the best couple ever. True life problems but still deeply in love and romantic with each other. Absolutely adore them.

Tyne comes from a family of actors…including her Tim (Wings) and their father James (Medical Center, Star Trek). Sharon had a recurring role on the series Switch with Robert Wagner and Eddie Albert.
