This might be Rich's single best video, an excellent deconstruction of just how clueless the tradcon approach to woman and marriage is in today's world. Walsh et alia remind me of WW1 generals urging their men to go over the top for "king and country" like a true patriot: what 'real man' would do less?

I had a female friend in high school who was very religious, in fact I would go to church with her. I confided in her about my mother being in an abusive marriage with my step father and I thought she should leave him. My very religious friend said that no, she can't, because she was married in the eyes of God and she should just stick it out best she can. Fast forward about 5 years and my friend gets married, big church wedding and all. Two years down the road she gets divorced because, get this, she can't get along with her mother in law. So no. Religion does not steel your resolve.

Went to several different “marriage counselors”…..
The worst one went like this:
    Super Christian based ,
    John Gottman
    Method based counseling.
    The beta male counselor
Offered me no option of leaving the marriage , even after several meetings, and me asking him :
“Would you tell someone to stay in a marriage ,
if it was toxic for that person to stay with the person who had affairs ,lied for years,
    And
STILL will not admit or confess to all of her cheating partners , physical and emotional.”???
    He didn’t want to answer,
And he kinda just quickly brushed it away with a quiet, head shaking, “no”
    And immediately started talking about
    Something else.
I’ve found most “Christian” counselors , expect the man
    When cheated on,
    To “man up”
That’s what God would want , right?

No, it isn't. Because even in the church the divorce rate is about 50% and once again 80% of the time, it's the woman filing the divorce. That means you have a 40% chance of getting ruined in divorce by even a Christian woman. That would be like playing Russian roulette with TWO bullets in the cylinder.
But it's much worse than the 40% chance of being destroyed. BECAUSE the modern church doesn't teach or preach Biblical patriarchy and Biblical roles between husbands and wives, the vast majority of men who don't end up getting divorced, still live in very contentious marriages, where the woman is never happy, constantly makes demands on him and are mostly sexless marriages, or one a month type of things.
Only about 3% of marriages are truly happy. MAYBE another 10 to 15% are reasonably decent.
Until the divorce laws are fixed AND the church starts teaching Biblical marriage and Biblical roles, marriage is a terrible prospect for most.

@@Willie_Wahzoo See, he admits it, first choice was a bad choice the red flags were there and he recognized them but went ahead anyway. How is it that the red pill space holds women accountable for their bad choices but not the men? There's an army of simps who make bad choices in women. He's clearly happier with his second choice. Richard's own book emphasizes to look for red flags and he lists them as well as green flags which means women aren't all the same, some are better than others, some are wife material others are not. And this is Matt's point, you have to vet and choose correctly the first time, the passport bros have the right idea. Some men require their women to not be on social media or hang around and be friends with single and or divorced friends to prevent them from changing in the future. And even if these two first contingencies fail and she some how changes still by some miraculous satanic effort, you put your assets and income in a trust to prevent losing half of it in a divorce. The reality is nuclear families are necessary for social and economic gain, our neighborhoods are safer with nuclear families and wealth continues to increase with nuclear families. No new children to nuclear families means no new customer base for products and services which means job loss which means economic collapse and eventually the extinction of the human species. Divorce means there will be no parents at home thus the kids have to go to state sponsored school that teaches (indoctrinate/brainwash) kids want the state wants them to know and not the personal values or culture of the parents. The man claims to believe in the Bible. If that is true, then he would know the answer is simply to turn to Christ and abide by biblical principle. And he does this in a way that implies it is "wrong" to remain single, despite the Bible clearly stating that a man can serve the Lord in singleness and that is perfectly fine.

The statistics are revealing though. People of faith are statistically less likely to divorce. My husband and I are practicing Catholics, our kids are in Catholic school, we take our faith seriously. But we also got married in our 30s so we both knew what we wanted and didn't see the point in wasting our time. The Catholic church is very clear about marriage and we had to go through marriage counseling before our wedding. The church develops men and their masculinity and emphasizes the complentary nature between men and women. ❤

Don't you know that it's only the top 10% ot to 15% of men who are sleeping with all the women.
Why do you think we call them Chads and Tyrones?
50% of men under 30 are celibate and virgins.
Most men can't get a woman to sleep with them even if their lives depended on or even if they wanted to.
And the ones have girlfriends to sleep with have to sweat their asses off to be given a chance to have them even look at them.
For women all they have to do is open a dating profile on tinder or IG with some revealing clothes and men will rain on them.
Or go to a bar or club with heels and some hot outfit and men are going to drool all over them.
For a man to get even 1/3 of that attention he needs to be incredibly rich or incredibly good looking, tall and have won the genetic lottery.
You clearly do not understand men's reality.

“You’re not able to control HER…”
Weirdly missing the point. The part you control - YOU - is the part that has to choose a woman based on core values. The problem most people have is precisely that they don’t evaluate the health of what they’re attracted to. If you date garbage, you end up with garbage. You have 100% control who you date and marry. You have 100% control over disciplining yourself to understand core values and virtues, and how those values and virtues are expressed in a woman you find physically attractive. Statistically speaking, men are just as likely to be bad marriage partners as women, regardless of who initiates a divorce. But YOU have 100% control over whether YOU will honor the kinds of values and virtues that make a marriage last. If you do this, you will recognize what that looks like in a woman. If you don’t…if you marry whoever you happen to be attracted to (and for men, that’s any semi-attractive woman who “gets along” with them), then you’ll be at the mercy of your libido and your limbic system.
Saying you can’t control what a woman does is conceptually identical to saying you can’t control what alcohol does to your system. Umm…yes you can…it’s called de-prioritizing drinking and drunkenness. “I can’t help it, bruh, I was making good decisions but the alcohol had better ideas.” Moron, stop getting drunk. Have a glass and stop. Learn to appreciate life while you’re conscious. Pursue healthy activities with women and talk with her about more than trivialities and flirting.
Take some GOD DAMN responsibility for the KIND of person you’re dating. If you can’t tell who is virtuous and who isn’t…that’s YOUR character flaw. It’snot that women are indecipherable, it’s that you’re DUMB. FIX IT. You can fix it by deliberately living and thinking in a way that supports your values. Acquire and live the virtues you claim to prize. Architects have ZERO problem finding other architects. If you know how to design a house…you will have the ability to recognize when another person knows what you know.
This isn’t rocket science. If you practice and focus on objective virtue, you will readily identify it in other people. If you don’t…then you’ll be “shocked” when she “changes.” Stop being mindless. Learn the craft…and you will recognize when an attractive woman has learned the craft. Don’t learn the craft…and blame everyone but yourself.

The Romans were perplexed that the ancient Germanic people actually practiced monogamous marriage. Polygamous marriage should also be legal. Any form of marriage is better for society than none. The legal system is stacked against healthy marriage and it should not be part of marriages, society and culture is more than just a legal system. Read Unwin's Sex and Culture Rich. Societies who are perverse and promiscuous are bound to be conquered by those with stricter control around sex.

You don't need to abolish "no fault divorce".
All you have to do is remove the prizes from filing for divorce without proof of fault.
To give a simple example: When you file for divorce, you are leaving your family.... *_not just leaving your spouse,_* so there's no question that the children, if any, are remaining with the parent that was filed against unless there is "proof of fault."
Stop treating marriage as simply a union between the two, and treat it as the creation of the family that it was always meant to be. If you abandon your family (divorce) without just cause, then you do so alone with only your personal effects.

I don't mind no fault divorce IF it just means you don't need to prove infidelity or abuse to get out. However, they should determine who broke the contract.
So IF she decides to leave for no reason, or she cheated or was abusive, then SHE is the one breaking the contract, and so she takes NOTHING, she GETS nothing.
Custody will be every other weekend for her, unless the dad is willing to split it more evenly, but completely his choice.
She gets NONE of the marital assets and zero future income either alimony or child support, even if she was a stay-at-home mom.
Now if he is the one who wants out for no reason or he cheated or was abusive, then he is the one breaking the covenant, then she gets half the marital assets, he has to pay alimony and child support and he gets the kids every other weekend.
Start punishing the actual perpetrators and I guaranty the divorce rate plummets.

@zoomzoom3950 Maybe because Matt chose to marry a woman of virtue and vetted her out to be a genuine human being. He’s not going to marry a girl from the streets, he’s going to marry a family oriented women who is selfless over selfish. That is what men should be doing today, that’s what I’m doing today. However, I’m order to expect virtue from a woman YOU must be virtuous as the man. That’s our problem in todays society, no one’s taking accountability

Matt's Catholic, good for Matt, as a Catholic he supports the idea of his religious leaders being unmarried, from his local Priest to the Pope. He, Matt, needs to correct his religions problems first and then worry about complete strangers and what they choose for their lives. BTW .... Matt's another Steve Harvey, it's just a matter of time, not sorry.

Well he isn't really giving biblical advice is one thing.
His entire video and post make it seem like willfully remaining single and avoiding marriage is somehow wrong or inherently sinful, when in reality the Bible says otherwise. There is nothing wrong with remaining single and in regards to the Bible, it is stated that a man can honor and glorify God even more so in singleness if he so chooses, and can still accomplish much alone. With that said, marriage is still a very beautiful and essential thing, but the solution cannot be rectified by simply telling men outside the faith to marry any random whore and hope it works. Instead there should be hope attached to those who are single and remain single by giving them a deeper purpose outside of marriage that we all have.

@11UncleBooker22 Good points you brought up; I was about to place a stand-alone comment about what you wrote. My 2 cents is this: men like Matt Walsh and Michael Knowles (hard-core Catholics), have been brought up with this notion that you have two basic vocations in life: Marriage or the priesthood; ther is no "third rail".

^^^^^^ This x 1,000. The NT assertion (primarily 1 Cor. 7) about singleness being a higher calling flies directly in the face of the OT, and its spin-off faiths that "require" a man to be married as to be a better steward of his household, etc. Even in the OT, celibacy was rampant because the tribal/territorial kings took all the marriageable women as wives and concubines, kinda like the 80/20 rule of dating we see today.@@someone-ji2zb

Any plan can be a considered a success if the bar is low enough and a failure if it’s too high. They’re clearly saying you can minimize risk and you’re comparing it to a 100% success rate.

Actually, like you said, Matt spoke about the individual vs the group. So, everything you said after your opening statement, doesn't argue against that.
