Quick question to clear up confusion: Was he crying out because it was his daughter? Because that part left me a bit confused. I had a sneaking suspicion that the father was the murderer either way (whether in the spiritual world or the real world), but I'm mildly confused still.

I think it would have been better if he'd been the one who killed his own daughter, and slowly as he realizes this more and more of his makeup comes off and he ends up being the guy crying on the floor at the beginning, and it begins again as an endless loop

Might have been his daughter he neglected due to making others laugh so she ran away feeling neglected and alone, was murdered by the other dude whom he choked to death so her soul was left unrested and the only way she felt the need to cross over is if he made her laugh and actually acknowledged her, but instead he killed his own child (That's My Personal Opinion)
I think the clown father committed suicide, the room that he was in was his purgatory, and his confusion was him trying to figure out where w was. The man he killed was the killer/rapist who took his daughter's life, so even after death he felt the satisfaction of killing him (hence the laughing) even though he didnt recognize who he was anymore. The final scene was him coming to terms with the truth, also him killing the doll could mean symbolically that he felt he indirectly caused his daughter's death by not paying enough attention to her.
Well it dosent matter now all 3 of them arent going to Hevean,only Good people and True belivers in Christ can enter Kingdom of God so this 3 will be stuck in purgatoty forever.

The other clown was the one who murdered the little girl. She turned shit around to make her father kill her murderer. I don't get why he didn't recognize her, but maybe it was because she was disfigured by the murder? Weird shit, man. Weird.
girl was his daughter. doll was probably an anchor for the girl's soul. once the anchor broke her soul went into the afterlife. either he was a ghost, trapped himself by the grief of his daughter being killed, or was trapped by the girl's power. the other clown was the person that killed her, trapped the same way, most likely by events or the girl's power.
if it was the girl's power she did this because she could get 1 of 3 things. 1) get satisfaction watching the father that abandoned her, and got her killed, be killed by her killer, 2) get satisfaction watching her father kill her killer, or 3) have her father make her happy by making her laugh.
The way silent ninja looked at him when he started talking about Dorothy's, like "bitch if you don't shut the fuck up."

I'm guessing the doll was a demon that helped her come back to get revenge on her father and her killer.

So my take on this is he's basically in purgatory, his own living hell from the guilt of killing the clown that killed his daughter and blaming himself for his daughter's death and neglect of her when she was alive. Why he didn't recognise her I guess would be from how she looked after death, she's not the same little girl he knew when she was alive. So basically he's forever stuck there, torturing himself with guilt

Just watched this, from what I gather, the little girl Dorothy is his daughter whom the clown neglected so she ran off and was murdered by the other clown whom Boo ended up killing. I'm confused if this is all in his mind because of his guilt of her death or that Dorothy's spirit is connected to the doll and she kept both her father and her killer prisoner out of revenge, making her father kill her murderer and making her laugh. Either way he seems to have blocked out his daughter's death since he doesn't seem to remember to the end that she's dead. As for not recognizing his own child, maybe that represents his neglect of her. This movie was quite confusing but good.

Dorothy was his daughter, he was never home so she ran away. The other clown was “the wolf” who killed her. I think Dorothy possessed the doll and the little girl was a projection of her. He died somehow and this is his purgatory or she’s just haunting him somehow.
That was my take on the whole thing as well
The girl's spirit was tied to the doll and she was already dead at that point, but appeared to him as a spector along with the doll. Basically the only way to destroy the evil spirit, he had to smash the doll.

I think the story was that like the girl loved the doll right , and scence she loved it so muck somehow it got connected to her ,and maybe before she had the doll a mother girl died and possessed the doll. So a soon as she got it it already had a spirit, and so he wasnt really thinking cause he thought as if he smashed the doll like she will be free,but it backfired and made a mistake and killed the doll along with his daughter (I thing that what had happen lol)

oooohhhh after seeing the photos and flashbacks he figured out that Dorothy was his daughter but she died so he was drinking her blood
hes at their house, he blocked out his daughter being murdered? hes face to face with her killer he kills him but doesnot understand why? the doll was the last piece of his daughter he had, he feels guilty because he was making other kids laugh and not his own daughter to the point where she felt neglected and ran away, destroying the doll he destroyed the last piece of his daughter ? unblocking those repressed memories and her murder ?
yep,m-dogg, that's what it means. the girl and the doll were one and the same.and that was his daughter.
What I think:
The man worked as a clown and since he was always away for his job, Dorothy was neglected and ran away. After she was raped and murdered, the man killed himself out of guilt and this was his own version of Hell. The girl was forcing him to make her laugh as he should have when they were still living and the act of killing the girl was his own guilt that it was his own fault that Dorothy was killed in the first place.
SHES THE REASON WHY PENNYWISE WAS CREATED
Spirits can take over dolls body or latch on to it's closer book , doll, mirror etc
The doll was basically her so when he killed the doll it killed her, like when the other clown hit the image of himself in the eye, his eye had blood.

i guess she was upset that her father (The clown) was never there and became a vengeful spirit after she died and tried to kill him. He looked at the picture and realized she was his daughter and he cried.
that was the father purgatory as he was trapped by the other clown... once the bad clown in the dark place killed Dorothy, (other clowns daughter) he thought of her as still being alive in the doll. so "bad clown"knowing that all she wanted was her father to make her laugh just once, kidnapped her dad trapped him there... and thus the entire mind f****** of everything that went on. when he swung at the girl actually only shows the doll being smashed, then you just seen the girl fall over on table... she's still heard as he dust off the pics that tells him the story on why and where he is... it was his daughter and the other clown that he killed was her killer but she was already dead alive thru the doll and it was everybody's purgatory!!! Crazzzy Shit Man good mind fuck
