Hey man, that's a great upgrade on the game, you add so much stuff from one devlog to another. Two things, first the system how you rotate and use items, clicking a button is a little clunky , maybe if u can click on the world or anywhere u can use the item selected. Second i have a question regarding the the world generator, it's infinite, you make a limit, it's procedural? or how its work ? Because i'm making something like that and i'm fighting with the stuff in particular. If you have some guide i would really appreciate it ! Thanks !
I'm glad you like my project! I did fail to mention that the game is for pc and mobile in both of my videos. The button on computers will be controlled by the mouse wheel instead. I still appreciate your suggestion for the button. My world is infinite, and is seed based. For top down 2D world generation, I'd suggest looking into FastNoiseLite which is built into Godot 4. I would also look into Tilemaps, and the set_cells_terrain_connect() method if you are using GD script. My terrain generator moves with the player in a grid, as it moves, it triggers the world to regenerate, and changes the position of the noise to the new position to make it look like the player is just walking on a pre-generated world. This will start to lag quickly the more you generate at once.
This game can be downloaded now and labled as early access. And we can be beta testers (getting anime vibe here) Once you added the bow, the game is ready to have bears as a hostile mob hehe
The only gripe I have is that I find it a bit jarring foryou to introduce features without elaborating on the process of how you got them working. Other than that, awesome job!
Sorry, I understand that it is jarring being shown different features so quickly. The reason why I do it is so I dont make people bored telling them all the steps on how I made every feature. I'm not sure if I can achieve this goal of hopefully making it constantly entertaining while at the same time not making it jarring to watch. I'll see if I can make it better in any way in the next video. I appreciate you sharing your thoughts on my video!
I want to see more enemies, but i think it's better if you add more biomes to explore, and its also nice if you add a kind of transportation like a horse for the land, a sailboat for the river/sea, and if your planning to add a mini boss on the game i think a giant bird would be perfect, and if you defeat the bird you can tame it, to use as a transportation in the sky, but of course this is just my suggestion, its your decision if you want to add this, im fine for whatever you think about this, and also i like the design of the game, its just amazing
I definitely agree about adding more enemies, and I will try to add more to my game. Transportation like a horse or a sailboat is a good idea, I think I will be able to add those. Bosses are something I will have to think more about to see how I would implement them, I will certainly consider this boss idea. Biomes are something I've been hoping to add soon. Thank you for your suggestions, and I am glad that you like my design!
Love seeing progress being made :D My project is similar and has gotten very big and complex. 20,000+ line of code and hundreds of items :D Only have about 12 Creatures/Monsters so far but that will grow.. Excellent work Bro! Good luck and have fun!
I did add the bed to the game already, It just has no functionality in the game yet. I did have a fuel system for the furnace, but I removed it because it was too buggy. I will attempt to fix those bugs again and add it back in. Thank you for the suggestions, though.
What a masterpiece

I've liked the way how game improves keep going :)

It is so cool watching your game evolve as my own project does :) Best of luck with whatever set of features you decide to do next!

make a tuturial how make this animals please
Sorry, I typically don't do tutorials. I can give you tips on how mine works instead. Are you referring to the code or how to make the art?
maybe a search bar for crafting menus
I'm not sure why I didn't think of that. Thank you for the suggestion!
looks like a fun game, but the pixel art needs some work.
I'm planning on re doing most, if not all, the sprites in my game eventually. Currently, I'm fighting with optimization for mobile users.
@@ChimmyChimChannel okay really cool.
will you add an cave for exploration?
I am planning on it. It maybe part of the next update. Thanks for asking though!
@@ChimmyChimChannel will you add some bandits?
