Here is the vlog of the DisneyWorld Marathon 2022, and oh what a marathon it was!! So much fun to pace my friend Tristin on her first and cross that finish line with her.
We maintained an interval of 1/1, for those of you who are curious, and we managed to run the second half 10 mins faster than the first. Specifically, our last 6.2miles were 10 minutes faster than our first 6.2.

🌞 Hi, I'm Suzie, welcome to I RUN THINGS. I am a 48 year old woman who discovered running in October 2016 thanks to a dare with her brother. Since then I have improved my 5k time by 8 mins, my 10k time by 19 mins, my half by 22 mins and my marathon time by 18 mins; so I am living proof getting older doesn't mean getting slower. I just run NYC Marathon on Nov 7th and the Disney Marathon on Jan 9th, and hope to qualify for Boston in the near future. Our channel motto is "Run Fearless". Subscribe so you don't miss out.🌞

It totally is. I used it when I ran Philadelphia Marathon too! It works. And the recovery is fantastic

I held on really well. I wasn't sore or tired at any point... but there was a reason why I didn't look tired. I have been running 45 to 50 mile weeks since August. I took a week off after NYC but that was it. I am in pretty good shape... that could change quickly but I hope I can keep it up. I have aggressive goals for 2022

Fantastic! Awesome! All the props to Tristin for finishing her first marathon, and on what looks like a very warm day. She's a real champion. And Suzie, you were the best marathon pacer ever! I think that might be the secret to always enjoying a race--to help out someone else by running it at their pace. Great video! I'm going to re-watch this whenever my excitement for running needs a boost.
Thanks Eddie!!! It was 82 during those last 6 miles.... it was super hot. It was alreadyb65 at 5am when we started! Not the easiest conditions and Tristin did amazing. She did not complain at all. She is such a tough cookie!
And yes, I plan on running every race now with the perspective of this one. This one put everything in perspective. It was so fun

They are expensive but worth every penny! You should run it with your wife. 🙂The weather was hot. We started with 18 Celsius at 5am and went to 28 at 12pm. With about 75% humidity. It wasn't pleasantly but we toughened it up! Thanks for watching Ben!

The marathon is only at Marathon Weekend in January. It's the only time they offer that distance. Wine and Dine maximum distance is a Half. I have run 7 marathons total but Disney Marathon 3 times, so if you have questions let me know. It's my favorite Marathon.

I am going for it on 2024. I turn 50 about 6 weeks prior. That will be my celebration lol.

Tristin ran the half the day before the full in 2022, I just ran the marathon.
This year I ran the half the day before the full, and Tristin ran the 5k, 10k, half and then the full. Back to back in 4 days

This video was so amazing and a treat to watch! I'm running the Princess Half this February and your video just pumped me up even more so! Quick vlogging question, I didn't realize we could upload our videos with the background music they play during the race. Have you gotten flagged or a warning at all? I would hate to have to put other music over my video for fear of getting copy-righted. There's nothing like the music they play! Congrats on your race :)

You can leave the original music, but you cannot monetize. Whatever ads play on this video are not there because I chose to monetize, because I didn't. I hope that makes sense. I was happy to leave the original music. I think the vlogs lose 90% of the magic without the original background music.
Princess Leia is one of the best female characters ever. She is feminine but strong, and she doesn't need to grow muscle and get into physical fights to still be badass (not that there is anything wrong with putting on muscle lol)
And by the way, I just subbed to your channel, so I can live vicariously through you :) during princess weekend. I will be at marathon weekend again next year.
@@IRunThings That does make sense! I'm very much relieved that they don't flag you for using it or anything. I ran my first half in 2020 and felt the video I uploaded wasn't as powerful because I panicked and didn't showcase the music they play. The music makes all the difference! Will for sure be adding it to my Princess vlogs :)
She's the greatest! I grew up watching Star Wars and did so many school projects and papers on her. I was obsessed and still am! Can't wait to run as her. And your hair came out beautifully!
