Definitely on the money. There’s a friend/colleague that I have literally spent all of 2024 reevaluating, because it does seem like she’s trying to bring me down. I don’t want to believe it is intentional, however, she believes that she has no value & often tries to project that onto me in her advice or criticism. Basically telling me that I should accept certain situations because I’m lucky to even have the opportunity (opportunities like the one you said would come that is below me) & I’m like nah & then she’s trying to argue her point. In the past, of course it bothered me, but I valued her as a friend & believed that she was giving me constructive criticism. Now reflecting back on it, it hasn’t been. Like you said, it feels like that test from God because I have been working on knowing my value, not accepting less & only accepting people & opportunities that are in alignment with the future that I want. As much as I love her as a person, she is someone in my life that serves as an example of a life I don’t want to have & a person I don’t want to be. She’s not a bad person but she lacks self-love & believes she has no value. She has no boundaries & is horrible with time management. All of these things I’m working on within myself & improving upon.
