OpenAI Playground Assistant - How to create your own (OpenAI Dev Day)

- In this video, we are using the new Assistant available in OpenAI Playground and creating three GPT Assistants. The first one will be able to read transcripts from TH-cam videos and directly answer questions about it. The second one will be able to query any documents and answer questions about it. The third one will be able to generate code. Let's get into it!
At the end of the video, you will be able to build your own GPT Assistant right inside OpenAI Playground and you don't even need to know how to code and barely spend any money. How amazing is that?

This is so great. Once this becomes "take ALL my data" or "go automatically grab the transcripts" instead of the drag and drop one doc at at time, it will be extremely amazing.
Thanks! This is actually possible with the Actions.You could create an API endpoint and use the TH-cam API to do that and call that API from the Actions.
I just discovered yesterday that I could just describe what I want in a website and it would code it.... is truly blows my mind what this stuff can do.... great video! thanks!!

Can I use multiple assistants integrated with a single Chatbot Flow? Or should I do different scenarios for each one of the assistants instead? I wonder if I could have a "master assistant" on a chatbot, with a Request Diffuser to understand what assistant I need every time

You can use upload it as an API as use tools like Voiceflow to easily embed it in your website.

I need an assistant that will help me to write, promotional materials, that is, blogs, posts, and headlines for my business training leaders in organisations leadership and communication skills. Is that something you can create a video to demonstrate how to do?
Also , it would really be good to have a video that explains the difference between the different playgrounds i.e. assistance, chat, edit and complete.
I see in the playground a link for Assistant API. Can you do a video using it? This will obsolete autogenerate however we will still need Langchain for other uses.

It absolutely can. Even Chatgpt itself can do it. I’ve tried it for data analysis and it works like magic.
Is the data I upload and that which is generated, kept private to one's own OpenAI account, as it is in the standard chat function of my OpenAI account? By default it is now kept private.
Found the answer myself: How is the data I send to OpenAI handled?
As with the rest of our platform, data and files passed to the OpenAI API are never used to train our models and you can delete your data whenever you require.
Does OpenAI store the data that is passed into the API?
As of March 1st, 2023, we retain customer API data for 30 days but no longer use customer data sent via the API to improve our models. You can learn more in our data usage policy.

Yes! You can share a GPT Assistant or embed it in your website according to what Sam said in the DevDay.
But still, it’s a beta version!
Your thumbnail said no cost but there is cost involved. Even as you are using it in playground, they are treating it as api calls and charged on usage.

I have a ChatGPT plus subscription and nothing else. Is it enough to access gpt4-1106? I can't see it yet. When I selected gpt-3.5turbo-1106, I get an error saying "Run failed

For personal use, is it better to create an openai playground assistant or a custom gpt?
They are both using the same LLM so there is not much difference in terms of results. It depends if you want to spend money per usage (playground) or unlimited (with chatgpt plus and gpts).

Think about it as a tool. You would struggle put a nail with your bare hands or a rock but given a hammer(gpts) your job would be much easier. Another great example would be accounting. Accountant is one of the oldest professions in human history, look what we can do with calculators, excel formulas, and internet knowledge. We still have accountants that use those tools. So, these new technologies will make our jobs much easier.
