I'm Iranian and watched all their qualifying games.. they played marginal at best. Only teams in Asia that have any chance at advancing their WC groups are Japan Australia and South Korea, but the last two didn't play well in qualification either. Japan was the only impressive one. I'm hoping Iran will suddenly get good in the world cup, but realistically, they're just not good enough yet.
