I',m tellin ya, I really don't have a pile of bricks in my back yard. Just make sure your flip flop foot is in front of the vent while blowing or you'll have BBQ foot. I seen some flames coming out of it. How do you clean it, take it apart? Thanks for sharing.
I have one sitting in the side yard now.... the only way to keep it going is top feeding it... trying to side feed it just kills the fire mass... tried offset air and feed hole, and also aligning them both.... same result either way ... I have seven levels of bricks from base .... the concept is age old.... the fire and air draw up the chimney causes a hot fire with air sucked in from elevated bottom, but for some reason this one is not working...using cement bricks that have a tiny spacer ridge looks like they would never allow a tight junction at each brick..
LOL so true about the bricks. Almost every customers house I go to has a pile of them somewhere. Although if I were to build one I think I would order fire bricks so they don't crack.
@@FloridaBoyBushcraftSurvival So those are house bricks? Interesting to know. They looked like pavers. So Im assuming when you say ordinary red you mean clay?
@@FloridaBoyBushcraftSurvival there is only one hole below the wire mesh.. shouldn't there be one above to feed fire? Anyway, this helped me build my own so thanks
No, not unless you want to. It is easier to load the wood from the top to initially start it but after that you can easily load fuel from the bottom through the screen opening...
Hey brutha great video. With all this talk of pot and joints I thought maybe you were in Canada eh! 😂 All good Matt and thanks for the video....cheers Fred

I trust ya. You can take it apart whenever you want, it goes back together so easily
Hmm, that looks easy to do. Good an easy instructions. Awesome video!
It is very easy to do...

These actually work pretty well
Good Morning Matt! Enjoyed your Rocket Stove. Have a great weekend for you and your wife! From Ray Spring Hill,
Thanks man!
One thing I have noticed is that you will have to keep putting wood 🪵 from the top you can’t put it from the bottom.
You can fuel it from each end

Cooking Preparedness 101 : Agree on fire brick, but red brick or cinder block will work in a pinch.
You would be surprised that the ordinary red bricks wont crack...

Great 💡 idea. Now I know.
Thanks!
hold up...how do you feed the fire once the pot is on top...
You feed it from the bottom
@@FloridaBoyBushcraftSurvival there is only one hole below the wire mesh.. shouldn't there be one above to feed fire? Anyway, this helped me build my own so thanks
So you take the pot off to add fuel?
No, not unless you want to. It is easier to load the wood from the top to initially start it but after that you can easily load fuel from the bottom through the screen opening...
Nice bro amazing
Thanks!
I LIKE THE WAY YOU BUILT THAT ROCKET STOVE,IM GOIN TO DO MINES THE SAME WAY....THANK YOU SO MUCH.
Thanks! it works VERY well...
I have bricks... I even made a rocket stove on my patio last Winter. The wife made me tear it down though.... I guess it's about time to rebuild it!
You gotta make another one for fall cooking!
Thank you for the share, FBS. GREATvideo.
Thanks!
I don’t have any bricks, is it ok to take my neighbors?
I would lol. they will probably thank you for it...
I've been wanting to build one of these for a couple of years now. Yes I do have a brick pile. Mine is truly a pile though not a nice stack. Lol...
Try it, it is easy to do
W❤🤘
It works well
How often do you have to add wood? I could see adding wood through the top as a major annoyance once the fire is going and the pot is boiling.
As often as needed. You only need to add from the top the first time, after it is going you can add from the bottom
can you just use charcoal instead of sticks?
Absolutely. No issues with that at all...
Great idea
Thanks!
My bricks are in my basement.
I have 90 of them.
How many cans of beer do you need?
See? You need about 2 cans to build this...lol
No red bricks, but this can be done with cinder blocks too.
Yes it can with the same results

Lol...I almost thought the same myself!
no bricks not lying, I did notice that you have fence down and a pool?
I trust ya. Yes there is some fence down, I know not good
Hope city/county/state miss it. go to bow store get a roll of fabric and staple it up
2:10
Lol...it was left over wire
I don't have a pile of bricks
Yes you do lol...we all do
Lol if I could take a pic you would see a stack of brick in my backyard
See? Everyone has one lol
Why shrimp NO SPAM
Lol...you could totally do spam on there
Baue ich nach, muß nur Steine besorgen.
ja, das ist richtig
Poor design. Not an actual rocket. And feeding it from the top is awkward.
I loaded it from the top. You fèed it from the bottom..
