Chico n TG. A LEGEND interviewing one of my favorite dudes from the 90,$ ! Yo I broke my knee up after years in the NYC streets and had like 3 operations and I kinda just gave up for like 15 years. This gives me the spirit to keep working on my knee with physical therapy . I’m 51 and I’m skating parks now with a big 9 inch. Starting to feel better n better each month. I started at 8.5 then 8.75 and finally 9 inch. I Got large wheels and it’s the most fun ever ! Yo it’s crazy how much fun it is and at our age we need to be active ! Thanks Chico & TG love you dudes. Thanks for all the good years. 1 ❤ Mike 13 $T. NYC. LE$ !
this is so humbling. thanks for making this.. for some reason when chico began talking about his split from chocolate and how thankful he was to have his career i got quite emotional. best wishes to you both.. pioneers and great givers of style to skateboarding today.
Always loved watching Chico skate and even more so now that he's been riding all these different shapes. You can really see that he's having heaps of fun at the moment.
yeah, its crazy cause Chico was "Chocolate" . . i remember when he was on world when Girl started, and i thought for sure he would be on that team. Then there is that video clip of the girl team leaving in the van, and chico couldnt fit so he was left behind. [i dont know if that was a skit or actually real; but, that moment in time did actually happen, (whether if it was that moment caught on tape or not. ) However according to Koston and Tim Gavin and Chico himself, it actually did happen in real life] And thinking back, if he would have fit in the , then; (world industries van) cause i think it was before "Girl" actually started . But, if he would have fit in the van back then. he may have been on the girl team . . BUT; "Chocolate" may have never been born at all if that happened . . lol . sorry for ranting, But; Skateboarding history is so cool to me, it is a lot of luck, alot of right place, right time. Especially back then when 20 year old skaters were either being called old, and they were retiring before 25 . . Or they were starting companies that are still in business today. . it is all so crazy thanks for listening to my B.S. session . . lul peace, Eric
Sick video and interview. I dig how deep this one got. Chico has been doing some crazy stuff on that board. Nice to hear from him and get some attention on what he's been doing. Hopefully the right sponsor sees this and picks him up.
I'm really hyped on this episode. Early on in skating, a local legend in Connecticut taught me how to kickflip at the Playground skatepark after loosening up my trucks to the max level. He said that I couldn't really do the trick if my trucks were tight, because tight trucks helped for freestyle but you couldn't street skate like that. I always rode the loosest trucks possible, to the point where I'd knock out the kingpin on new trucks, use epoxy to fill up the baseplate, up-end the bolt to the top for better grinds and no one could ride my board with rattle trucks. It became an asset later on. None of my friends could ride my board, so they'd never break it by borrowing it for a trick after they snapped their own board.
Thanks for another great episode, I enjoyed it. As far as people being surprised about Chico doing these tricks on a big old '80s style board, just look back to what Tommy, Natas or Gonz were doing in the 80's on big boards and it shouldn't be too surprising, right?
Yah I ride a cruiser as well. Had that deck in 88'. Chico is bringing a new modern trick selection with the old school vibe plus his epic steez. Tell him to ride for street plant. I think he'd fit in 👍🏼🏄🏽
Funny to see that Chico sugar coated the story about leaving Chocolate a bit back when he did this interview compared to his recent 9-club interview :)
I guarantee that Tommy deck Chico is killing it on isn't bonite. Those things weighed in at 47.5 pounds dry and if you got em wet forget about it. Great episode.
Holmes Please bring out a Henry Crayon Re issue. I had the best sesh of my life on one of those in 1992 in Sydney Australia. I've spent the last 10 yrs trying to track one down... (perfect wheel base). Please. Yeah Chico, Ripping!!
Amazing. Never really was a Chico fan in his 'heyday' but he's currently one of my favorites. I'm one of those fans that went out an got a big boy and some 'old school' boards to see how it feels and what could be done. Hope he keeps it going.
I just set up a couple boards with a longer wheel base. It is sick. I said I am either gonna love it or I am gonna eat shit. Well both. I love it & I ate shit. Knarly front wheel bite on soft bones bushings!
Nah, more like Bones flowing Powell boards. Would be sick to see a Krooked guest board. Chico was one of the handful of guys in the Crailtap camp that skated and he's still getting attention. Would be sick to see him fully on Adidas and maybe Palace or a bigger brand.
ChicoBrenes, what you are doing is hugge to almost every kater in their 40's or older who still skate or want to skate.. *I skate the bLind era deck shape but it's similar and all my generation started on the old Powell or Santa Cruz shapes. i miss the way the nose wasn't there (someties) like the way the board pops differently from the nose. not nollie but like a almost no-comply'ish shuv. but without touching the ground.. I have a couple older collectables and i decided to grip one up.. **Think im going with Ray Barbee cause it's got a cool shape.. But the tale is kinda steep..
I been riding the big boy 9 s all year..best shape.. I ride the crail big boy.....that's crazy..i cant ride those old school boards any more...like TG said..too flat....and theyre just too small......I like a 7 + nose and tail
how is chocolate selling chico boards if he quit ??..or are they dead stock boards ?...I got one on sale last month...damn..crazy... chico IS chocolate
That was the weird part. But they plan catalogs in advance and those are probably boards from the catalog he was in. It is weird to not associate Chico and Chocolate anymore.
That's why they on sale, they're selling off deadstock. He was in the Palace Normcore vid and is wearing Palace in this interview but Palace doesn't make shaped decks so he doesn't have his name on a board
Love and respect Chics keep shredding.

This turned out to be a great Friday
Chico is the man! Stay up! Keep shredding! Thanks TG!!
He's been killing it on that board, so fun to watch the clips!!
They feel so good after riding the same thing for a while. A great change up
what boards are thry
thank you! please film another episode that was brilliant
this is so humbling. thanks for making this.. for some reason when chico began talking about his split from chocolate and how thankful he was to have his career i got quite emotional. best wishes to you both.. pioneers and great givers of style to skateboarding today.
Awesome! This will be part one of 12 right?
Paddy O'Lantern I could listen to this all day!
Hopefully, next stop - THE NINE CLUB!
Always loved watching Chico skate and even more so now that he's been riding all these different shapes. You can really see that he's having heaps of fun at the moment.
Big chico fan sad to hear he left chocolate but excited for new phase of his life

Chico fo REAL skateboards,
Put Chico on Tommy
Put Chico on Real and make his pro deck an old school shape with a 14" wheelbase.
Sick video and interview. I dig how deep this one got. Chico has been doing some crazy stuff on that board. Nice to hear from him and get some attention on what he's been doing. Hopefully the right sponsor sees this and picks him up.
Great stuff Chico is a Legend..
Chico! One of the best
I totally enjoyed that episode thank you
Love the show! Can’t wait for a part 2

Tommy: OG's want an updated, Real / DLX version of the flaming sword. Help us out man.
Chico, you are the best. 🙏💪👊
Nicaragua Libre, Respetos Chico
so much respect for Chico
Growing up in the city... This episode
means a little more. Thank Tommy! Thanks Cheeks!
these are my favorite
oh shit. i seen little clips of this on insta, and didnt even begin to think that the whole version is on youtube. . so excited
Chico's the best
Love Chico. Hyped on all his footage and rippin on the old boards. Nothing but respect for the man. Long live Cheeks!👊🏼
Top notch dudes that's skateboarding big ups🤘🏼🇨🇦🤘🏼
Chico rules!! The bottom line, skating for fun is the total essence of doing it at all. Thanks TG for making this episode happen! Simple stokage.
Thanks for another great episode, I enjoyed it. As far as people being surprised about Chico doing these tricks on a big old '80s style board, just look back to what Tommy, Natas or Gonz were doing in the 80's on big boards and it shouldn't be too surprising, right?
I recently got Instagram strictly for skateboard content. Chico's page is definitely one of the stand outs for great content, no BS, fun.
All about the base... wheelbase... Great segment as per always.
Awesome!!!!!!! My day revolves around what Chico is going to do on that board next, and the mini natas. Amazing!
It's amazing isn't it?
Yes!!!!
Chico is a legend!
Two legends shooting the shit! I was inspired to do the same thing with the Tom Asta Preissue board. So sick Chico! Keep shredding.
Thanks
Thinking of redrilling my current deck (8.75/15wb) but Does anyone know why boards only come double drilled at the nose end, instead of both sides?
Nice to see such a G get super humble. Shout out to the Excelsior district, only place to rent!
I did the same thing several years ago. I set up a old school board and rode it all the time. I'm.gonna try the wheel base trick.
Chico is REAL! (pun intended)
Max Geronzi was the guy he mentioned.
Wow this was a good one.
Yah I ride a cruiser as well. Had that deck in 88'. Chico is bringing a new modern trick selection with the old school vibe plus his epic steez. Tell him to ride for street plant. I think he'd fit in 👍🏼🏄🏽
Now the sad music plays in the background!!
I love both those dudes
Hell yeah ! Chico!!
Best episode
Hell yeah Chico! 👍
Sick!
yea cheeks! a change is good✊
When Chico dips his chips it's "Chico eats pico de gio", which sounds a little funny too.
Soft wheels are bliss
Cheeeks
Chico! Daly City represent!
For me one of the best of all time... as a skater and as a dude!!
he's working on a part? i wonder for what company
Chico is the best!
Chico was the last man standing of 90s greats who remained 100%.... Chocolate should have embraced the new Chico. Now he is blowing up. Puro Nica!!
I’m riding the Erick Winkowski 9.5-33 so fun!
Powell Peralta should sponsor Chico.
Marketing could have a field day with this.....
Free agent invaluable property!
The title of Tommy's show is funny as it translates to "Bullshit with Tommy Guerrero".
Funny to see that Chico sugar coated the story about leaving Chocolate a bit back when he did this interview compared to his recent 9-club interview :)
I’ve had 14 of those between a couple of older rounded ones and like 12 of that one
I guarantee that Tommy deck Chico is killing it on isn't bonite. Those things weighed in at 47.5 pounds dry and if you got em wet forget about it. Great episode.
Who is Chico?
Holmes Please bring out a Henry Crayon Re issue. I had the best sesh of my life on one of those in 1992 in Sydney Australia. I've spent the last 10 yrs trying to track one down... (perfect wheel base).
Please.

Dude, I got a feeling like I expected more of this
mario cristobal collado aviles it's BS not The Nine Club
Such a cool dude.
I just set up a couple boards with a longer wheel base. It is sick. I said I am either gonna love it or I am gonna eat shit. Well both. I love it & I ate shit. Knarly front wheel bite on soft bones bushings!
Add BS with TG lyrics to the opening song ...
Does this mean REAL will be putting out a old school shape? Then put Chico on flow??
Nah, more like Bones flowing Powell boards. Would be sick to see a Krooked guest board. Chico was one of the handful of guys in the Crailtap camp that skated and he's still getting attention. Would be sick to see him fully on Adidas and maybe Palace or a bigger brand.
Tommy I think he would be a great fit for Real.
Chico is definitely getting hooked up by Palace
Man I guess I was doing this before Chico, could of set a trend but oh well. Fakie hard flips ;)
The Mad Dog
I didn’t know Chico was in SF.
Winkowski.
Glad y’all got into the chocolate stuff. Really interesting and stoked to see the full part
Put out a CB/TG deck. #nobrainer :)
Chico is the fuckin best
Shoulda got animal thug for the intro music
UFO at 13:45
chico defs on Palace
Tell Powell to reissue or reissue all Tommy Guerrero real decks! Make sure it’s the exact same as the original.
We miss you on Chocolate Cheeks 😥
chico's a g
The one who disliked this video doesnt like big boi boards
ChicoBrenes, what you are doing is hugge to almost every kater in their 40's or older who still skate or want to skate..

I thought Chocolate was for life?
Ty Evans ran off Gino, Mike York and Chico bc he said their footage wasn't up to par with MJ and the other guys
lame
we been gettin busted at miley too, last couple times
He would be the perfect fit on Thank You skateboards 👍
how is chocolate selling chico boards if he quit ??..or are they dead stock boards ?...I got one on sale last month...damn..crazy... chico IS chocolate
