Thanks a lot bro. I enjoyed doing this speed run. Not done any for a good while now. I have bought a much better battery now and we will change the pinions soon and see what the high speed pinion will get us. 😎
Thanks a lot Wil. Yeah, these cars are plenty fast enough on 3s. After doing this video, we went to a different spot and just bashed them and drifted them, its amazing how fast they accelerate mate
The Vendetta is so pretty, but both showing good speed out of the box. That's a nice new piece of tarmac, round here would only last a week and they would dig a hole in it.
This location is a very very big trading estate with the biggest units that you will have ever seen !!!! There are a couple of nice roads and stretches on the estate. I think the 70 mph run might have to be on a different stretch, this one might not quite be long enough, especially if the surface is damp. I not sure what the traffic is like during the week but at weekends its not to bad. The road only leads to one company so its not too bad at weekends
Thanks a lot Leon. It was mint today even though my battery let me down. Although I have now bought one of the same batteries as my friends and it runs perfect
Hi there Tibster, a great couple of RC’s. Just goes to show too, power is everything (remember the film, Apollo 13 😂😂). The 3mph difference between the cars, could be anything, grease used, tyres, weight of the car, body, styling, still great speed. But it looks like the squeaky wallet is going to have to come out 😊😊best wishes 😊😊
Yes, my wallet has been opened since this video lol Those gens Ace batteries are £80 each ☹️ And as you say, there could be a number of reasons why it was a little slower. Hopefully the next speed run will be more successful my friend
Hi Tibs! Two bloody lovely cars there dude! I was impressed with your Vendetta's top speed of E5!!!! But seriously dude, time to buy some new batteries! Great video, enjoyed that matey! :))
Yes Mark, since this video I have bought one of those Gens Ace batteries, the same as my friends, 80 quid 😕 But hopefully the next speed run will be ok now. 😎
Thanks a lot Dave bro. After these runs, we went to a slightly different place to bash them and drift them. Its amazing how fast these cars accelerate, even on just 3s, they are rapid mate 😎
Stock gearing 20t/50t i was getting constant 54mph in my infraction. Switched to 26t and hit 65mph and my grub screw cane out and destroyed everything inside the gears, case and even bent the motor shaft. 20cents part cost $130 to fix
Cheers Beef bro. Yeah, they are pretty rapid for little 3s cars lol. We will fit the high speed pinion on them soon and do another run, hopefully hit 70 mph
Thanks Dirk. I was surprised that my ZEE battery was no good because I have used them for a long time and they have been good batteries. But on this occasion you can see that they were not good enough. So i have now bought the same battery as my friend was using, we will do the high speed pinion run soon
Yes sir. One trip on the trails with the Scx6? Batteries Died on the trail. Had to carry it back to the car. Got better batteries. All good now. LMAO. Yeah when you get into it, specially high speed machines like these are. Might as well get a good set of batteries for it. ;) You want to see everything this bad boy has to offer. Looking forward to the higher gear run. :P
Yes, batteries make a big difference. Although i have never had issues with my ZEE batteries before, but it just shows that batteries do make a difference. Unless Spektrum have done something to try and stop us using cheaper batteries etc , i dont know, but the new battery i bought, the same as my friends works just great 👍
@@tiborvon Yeah carrying an Scx6 is a mistake you make ONCE. LMAO I have been running 3S 6500 mah 100c batteries. Two of em in parallel. Since then with a couple back ups in my back pack. lol
Hello buddy. Yeah, 53 mph and 56 mph is pretty quick for a 3s car. But when the 26t is fitted then they should go much quicker. It also shows how batteries can make a big difference and since this video i have been and bought a Gens Ace battery the same as the one Chris is using in this video. But the infraction still beat the Vendetta by 3 mph for some reason. We will do another speed run video soon Paul with the bigger pinion fitted. Hope you all keeping good and well buddy
They sound like mini chainsaws when they pass by.. Yes, batteries do mKe a difference in speed runs. Great first run of both Vendetta and Infraction 👍👍👍
They were 80c!!! So they should have been fine. After doing the runs, we then went to a different area and just olayed aroubd, drifting and stuff. My Zee batteries were ok doing this, throttle on and throttle off, blipping it and stuff, but as soon as i kept full trigger on for full speed, they died
Cheers buddy. I have since been to Knowles model shop and bought one of those Gens Ace batteries. They are clearly much better than my ZEE one. Oner of the lads runs Gens Ace batteries in his beefed up Kraton 8s so i have seen them in action before. As for the esc, i dont think there iss anything you can do, i have not fully checked but they are only 3s cars so they are not top of the range or anything.
Oh yes mate, you could definitely see a marked improvement when you switched to Chris's battery, it looks like yours may be cooked. What a cool location too, its like you're own private drag strip. Does that road ever see any traffic ? Top stuff matey...👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻.
Hello dude. Since this video I have now bought one of those Gens Ace batteries. This road is on an industrial estate in Little Hulton. It was a Saturday afternoon so it was pretty quiet here. There is only one unit at the ens of the road that lorries attend to on this road so its not mega busy and it is a dead end too so no passing traffic apart from RC lol. Bizarre though, after this run we went to a different part of the estate which is better for just messing about and drifting. When i was just playing about and not holding full throttle for any length of time, the Zee batteries were ok, but as soon as i held full throttle they died 🤷 Yet i have never had any issue with Zee batteries before. And further more, i also speed run my 3s typhon today, using the Zee battery and it was fine. The only difference in set up really was the motors. Typhon is 3200kv and Vendetta is 3900kv. I made a typhon video too, thats how i know
I love it mate. It is really fast considering it is only 3s. After doing this video we went to another area of the industrial estate were we could do a bit of bashing and drifting. It was mega fun mate. Proper heart beating stuff lol. A few of us are coming back here on Sunday, we are having a speed run day. Bring anything and strap the gps onto it and see how fast it goes lol
It was good fun today. I have now bought a new and better battery for the next run. I also did a speed run with my 3s typhon today so there will be a video of it soon. Thanks for watching my friend 👍
Thank you. Yes, i agree. I thought exactly the same when i heard them. This was the first time that i had run the cars so it was also the first time that i had heard them. Loved it lol
Both cars are awesome and yes batteries and C rating are everything in speed runs! Still wonder why you were 3 mph down 🤔 gear mesh to tight? IDK Tibster but I'm sure you will get it squared away! Very cool!
I was wondering why i am a little slower too because both cars are basically the same set up apart from the body shell. It was quite windy that day, unless the wind played a part in it some how with the large tail fin on the back of my Vendetta ? I dont know. But after this speed run, we went to a different part of the trading estate and just messed about, drifting and stuff. The Zee batteries worked ok for that type of bashing, pulling the trigger on and off, but as soon as ypou pull full trigger and hold it for a couple of seconds then the ZEE battery let me down. I have since been and bought the same battery as my friend has, 80 quid lol , so hopefully it will be ok. We will fit the high speed gear soon and then try for another run, hopefully hit 70
@@tiborvon You would think your shell would be faster but maybe your run was into the wind and his was with the wind 🤔 lol! Should be fun with the bigger pinion on it. ✌️😎👍
