So many options, I had no idea. Wow, what a great video, Diane. Your creativity always amazes me. All of your paper bag journals are so beautiful. Sharing another scripture today - Luke 2:10 - “And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people.” I started my Luke Bible study a little early, so excited about it that I couldn't wait until December. Wishing you a blessed day. Hugs, Kitty

My favorite is the paper bag, simply because my first try of making journals was a small paper bag. It was then I realized, hey I can do this. I was so proud of that small little journal. I immediately went out and got supplies and ventured into the world of journal making. It is one of the most enjoyable and relaxing things I have ever done. My favorites of all these wonderful bags were the last three. Now I must run to do some crafting. Thank you for the inspiration. New subbie.
Wow!!! How talented. I have been a junk journalist for about 2 years and you just impressed me to death!!! I love your channel and just subscribed. Thank you for all you taught me in one video!!!
Lovely video - very creative and nicely organized. My favorite materials to use in junk journals are upcycled fabric and paper - all types! Part of the fun, for me, is the hunt! I try to find the highest quality goods for the least cost with the main goal that I'm saving those "found" items from the landfill. I just found your video and look forward to watching more. I've made bag journals including wine bottle bags. I generally sew in a signature in addition to the cool ideas you've detailed. Many blessing to you for taking the time to share your ideas. Thanks very much!!🔍
First time seeing your channel and i really Love your ideas. Sea side i think is my fav. Just love love lighthouses and being near the water. I am preparing for a class for youngsters and these papers bags would make constructing so much easier for them to understand. Thank you for your awesome creativity. God Bless you.
Wow, can't believe how many journal types you can make with a paper bag! Thank you for showing all the ways to do them. Gave me some good ideas Diane. I have used a paper bag to make a journal before, but I have always cut the bag up. This is totally different. I usually use cardstock to make journals. Or a manilla folder.
Love you explanation of bags. I got a paper bag JJ years ago as a gift. I've wanted to make my own and your video has been great for spurring me to make some. To answer your question. I am obsessed with concertina (accordion) journals. I love collage so I incorporated that unto mine. I did 3 concertina journals this year for the entire book of Psalm. I divided it into 3 books with 50 into each. I call them my prayers through Psalms. I love vintage scrappy and like to hand write. So I wrote a few of the verses for each chapter using 2 pages for each. I glue in ephemera and write in a short prayer for each. I'm working on one for Psalm 119 as I study it. I share my studies on a friend and my Facebook page. I also make regular JJs for gifts. I make mini's with mostly blank pages for friends who use them to jot scriptures and prayers. But I wanted to thank you for this video. I learned so much. I have subscribed.

I have used envelopes to make a journal for my Zentangle art.. then gave as a gift to a family member..Have used the paper bags to make another one for myself with the pockets as a personal diary.
So many ideas!! TFS!! Loads of possibilities!! Such a blessing to see your channel grow! I remember with I was the 27th subbie lol! God is wicked-awesome!! Keep it up!! :)
I make a lot of paperbag journals. On the small trifold with flap I use the sealed end as the flap so I don't have to glue the inside. It also makes a stronger flap for closure. I also add a 6 page notebook to the journal. When I do a half fold and open the closed end I glue in a piece of copy paper instead of gluing the pieces inside. It makes a neater inside. When using multiple bags, I alternate the closed end as I think it makes a nicer journal. One end isn't thicker than the other. Thank you for your video. I have not made a journal with handles, but plan on trying it.
Great project! I can't wait to make a few. My favorite material is wadded up brown paper stuffing that comes in every Amazon box. You can tell it probably comes in really big rolls and they must tear it off and fill out the boxes so things don't slide around as much. I smooth it out, fold it up, and keep tons of it ion my studio for all manner of junk journaling projects.
I love these ideas. Thank you for sharing and making it so that we can understand. I will be trying my hand at these. I use anything if the idea comes to me I try it out. I've used the brown paper bags to make children's junk journals but I fill the inside with mini color pages I create for them, It keeps them busy when they need to be quieter such as during services. They are a big hit. I'm glad your channel was recommended in my feed, I will enjoy your content.

Great video! Paper bag journals are my absolute favorite to make. Julia at Camelia Craft Designs creates a journal out of 2 paper bags that ends up giving you the perfect size journal for 8 1/2 x 11 papers folded in half for the signature. I've lost count of how many of those journals I have made! My second favorite type of journal is to use Amazon bubble mailers and cover it fabric on both sides. They come out wonderfully soft, squishy and crinkley.
