Sochan is a good player, but probably won't be a great one for the playoffs. Victor is pretty much on all fronts, without really another player to back him up. It seems that Castle has the qualities to become a great player, but he needs to improve his shooting seriously.
The Spurs record with and without Jeremy has other factors at play. Wemby and Sochan work well together. Jeremy has a high-IQ and plays great D, and he has that dog in him that the Spurs culture needs. Rodman couldn't shoot, yet he was valuable. Spurs defintely need a good shooter, but Jeremy is already - AS YOU SAID - a swiss army knife out there. Don't put it on him to be that clutch shooter too. Go out and find a good shooter to fix that problem. And yeah, I agree, get Wemby's 3-pt attempts down. At crunch time Wemby needs to be near the basket taking high-percentage shots. I also agree with getting a good center, like Vucevic, in there. If we could get Vucevic and Fox, I really think we would have a team that can go far into the playoffs and maybe even contend if just a couple of the existing Spurs can get some confidence in their shot.
I don't understand how a pro basketball player who has access to the best facilities and shooting coaches can't become proficient in shooting treys. It's a matter of spending the time in the gym and developing the correct form and letting muscle memory take over. Very few players make it to the NBA and one would think they'd appreciate the opportunity to improve their shooting skills. As far as Wemby shooting 3s like crazy, it's done with the blessing of the coaching staff even when it hurts the team. I suspect his teammates are secretly pissed at some of his attempts from the logo but don't complain.
Who gives a crap if he can shoot 3s. He's a defender, a ferocious competitor, he crashes the boards, and he got a never ending engine. Everyone shooting 3s is a trend that will come to an end because it's causing viewership to go down. Pretty soon, you'll be able to hand check again and those 3 point shooters will be a thing of the past.
...and win loses? Against what teams? Who was playing that night? Who was he guarding? How close was it to his injuries? Come on guy, get it together. You put together some better stuff in the past, but enough of the negativity.
Your argument is flawed if you are judging this guy on stats. Lately, your content has been trash. This is a team learning how to play together and win. Give them a break and talk about the improvements and the positives.
Use Jeremy as the screen and roll guy , everyone else needs to hit their shots . They all get the same shots but they don’t hit them . Plus Jeremy gets the hustle plays . Yall want castle to replace him but he can’t shoot either , he is even struggling on layups . Get a backup center so when Wemby and Sochan are out the rebounding won’t dip as much . The real problem on offense is no one is consistent , the guard play especially. Cp3 has been mediocre on defense and up and down on offense. Vassel and Johnson have disappointed , Barnes started out great then hit a rut . Branham hasn’t figured it out . Of all the problems Wemby and Sochan are the least of it . We got smacked by Milwaukee because no one could handle Giannis’ physicality .
Better at the bench. Good defender but Definity not a starter. better tank for the rest of this season since we ain't a championship team. at least let wemby pad some stat, and make castle win ROTY. let keldon be a starter if he break out good if not, at least let him increase his value for trade.

At best he’ll be the modern Draymond, at worst he’ll be your new Diaw. Trading him would be a mistake when the talent is worse on the wing

Not better without sochan just replaced with Stephon Castle as if he was on bench like before with Zach and MaMu with WemBy
