Thank you very nice. May I suggest, if I were totally new to needlepoint it is a little confusing to simply say “top to bottom”, perhaps showing the stitch crossing over from hole to hole on plain white - close up would help the novice.
I would never teach Continental stitch to beginners. It warps the canvas badly and then needs some tough blocking. Half cross stitch works well as long as it is not a pillow top or rug. Also with small no frame pieces you should roll the canvas to get where you need to stitch. No wadding or wrinkling the canvas to get to stitch areas. Just suggestions.😀
