  • Hi Guys, in this video I show you two ways I use up stale or going out of date bread. The Bread Salad literally costs pennies to make and is really filling. I had mine as a side, but would make a decent lunch or main meal if money is super tight.

What a wonderful young lady. I really love how you look after your son and dad. Saw a recipe online for raw sliced white cabbage, sour cream and a sprinkle of cayenne pepper. Intending to try this, apparently delicious.

Hello Lizzy as you say you like soggy bread try this Portuguese summer salad, olive oil, balsamic vinegar and some oregano and sea salt (just a pinch) sea salt brings out the best in the tomatoes. Add some spoons if water and then add the croutons or very stale sour dough bread give it a good mix and a just the water to
make sure the brea does go soggy, this is also known as poor man's food here, it's used to be made by the field workers while they were harvesting all sorts of veg and wheat.

    Hi ya.
Hope you , your son and dad are all ok 👍.
I don't think this one is for me lol. But I can imagine it's a great time saver. I'm a funny un when it comes to "wet food" 🤔. I'd think the sandwiches would be a bit soggy after they've defrosted 🤔. I'm one of those that only eats "breast" meat on chicken cos its drier than leg. Dips bread "in" soup and not "chuck" it in to go soggy. And can't eat 'tail end" of fish/salmon cos its wetter lol. I can imagine you saying "meat is meat n fish is fish" 😆 . As mi late mum use to say "it wunt do for us all to be alike "😀. Take care 😘

I only found out a few months ago you can freeze sandwiches (dependant on fillings). Personally I could not eat a defrosted sandwich but I'm funny about freezing food..I can't batch cook as neither the kids or I can eat frozen meals..textures and flavours change too much....told u we're odd.

Yes, freezing does change texture of food when defrosted. Somethings I enjoy some frozen foods than cooked from fresh, we all have our odd ways 🙂💕
