In the last place we lived in Grand Haven my wife would walk in the woods next to our apartment until one day she was yelled at by the owners. A few days later there were No Trespassing Signs all over. Big difference from growing up here where towns are full of undeveloped state-owned woods.
So true. I should have mentioned that in tourist towns such as Grand Haven and New Buffalo, you will see tourist walking and shopping in the summer but they are only walking the downtown boardwalk area. 😊
