@@bessieburnet9816 they say don’t reply to trolls but I’m going to. Roberts tango was one of the best there’s been, Tyler’s tango was great and this one rocked to a difficult song choice. So it’s quite obvious you’re just here to troll.
I know I agree I wasn't happy with the choice of the song for a tango they really need to start choosing the right music for the dance style. but yess dianne did make it work!! I'm just sad that bobby was deflated this week he looked really sad my heart breaks 😭 hope he's okay!!
This felt like a proper Tango and for Bobby to be in hold for the majority of the dance must have been so hard. Really really enjoyed it, so good! Always love Dianne's choreography, can't wait to see more dances already 😁
I loved this dance! Bobby seems like such a lovely genuine person and he works so well with Diane as a partnership on strictly come dancing! They're my favourites and they have so much potential! Wishing them all the best and lots of luck for next week's dance! ❤😊
I love Bobby so much! I think he really cares about this and being on Strictly and doesn't want to disappoint Dianne! Cannot wait to see what he has up his sleeve!❤
They deserve all the praise! Very difficult music and danced nearly all of the dance in hold! Incredibly hard to do. Bobby was amazing, and Dianne you are the best teacher. He’s never danced before and to manage such a difficult dance so well is a testament to how well you work together xxx
I love these 2 together so much chemistry in the dance. Loads of tango content in hold for what 90% of the dance. He did seem to be counting and a bit unsure but he was fab nonetheless, something for him to work on 👊
I have to commend Dianne for the fact that she kept them in hold for over a minute. That was a proper tango, none of the faffing around going in and out of hold constantly which we see nearly every dance 👏
Score - *9/10* It looks like I'm in the minority here but for me this was a class act, I loved it, it was so lovely to see a Ballroom dance go into hold and not break apart in the middle (ADAM I'M LOOKING AT YOU), although really that is a rare occurance in general on strictly which made me love this more. Brilliant routine perfomed to the max with style and confidence. The headflicks were sharp, beautiful stride and markings with the feet, lovely frame and great body contact. The ending was powerful and I loved the modelling influence (maybe there's still time for me to take modelling after all 😝) I would have liked more domination coming down the catwalk and fire but apart from that it was fantastic
It is quite refreshing to see when they don't break hold. It makes me feel like they're properly learning to dance the dance and not just a bit of the dance and a bit of freestyle.
@@shinbios this is why Dianne is a superior teacher, she teaches her partners to properly be able to dance the individual dances, not just some random steps within a routine for that week.
Honestly Bobby keeps wowing me, I was afraid he might get bouncy, but held himself so well! Absolutely unreal, this is your winner of SCD 2023. In the spirit of Len Goodman, mark this, "I'll show me bum at the supermarket if Bobby doesn't win!!!"
A really good tango, the technique was all there and he kept up with the difficult timing of the music really well. But all that quality got a bit lost. The sharpness of the tango comes from the contrast of the stillness, the pauses of anticipation, and they were missing, making it a little bit rushed. Take your time Bobby, youre good at what you do, so give us chance to take it all in. 8
I loved the song choice, it gave the dance a cool edge and Diane choreographed it perfectly to show off Bobby's catwalk skills. There was a point in the dance when Bobby was close to the audience and broke character by smiling at someone, possibly his dad which was really sweet but good job he had his back to the judges!!
I love Bobby and Dianne definitely deserves to win this year, but for me this wasn't their best performance. In their defence the song choice wasn't great, but they gave it their best shot and I know they'll come back stronger - they are still my winners!
I think they did well with a song that didn't really suit a tango. Thought the comments were a bit harsh! I'm sure they will get through and bounce back next week 😃
I love these two but for me there was a disconnect. I didn't get any sense of story. It lacked tension & build-up, I could see Bobby counting and I didn't feel any emotion between him and Dianne - almost like she was just a prop for him. Maybe if they had made her a catwalk model too so they were equally 'in character' it could have made a bit more sense .. ?
@@aljones75 yeah, also he started smiling at someone in the audience at one point so that broke the atmosphere too. Hopefully they've got a lot of weeks left, I think maybe tango just doesn't suit Bobby
David Bowie song for a tango who on earth selected it when I think of Louise rednapp few years back an appropriate tune was played and it was sensuous and passionate that was just way too quick and the singer belting out fashion etc killed the tempo
our scores: me: 8 diya: 7 kelsey: 8 owen: 8 31/40 what on gods earth were craig and motsi on? did they forget this is a TANGO and not a samba? craig has been doing this for 21 series and somehow forgot they change dance styles every week and dont do the same routine over and over again. of course it wasn’t going to be as entertaining, baffling comments. he was counting out a lot which is my pet peeve but i loved his top line and the staccato. Edit: i seem to be the only one who liked the music i thought it worked, and i loved the choreography
I like Bobby, but for me it was too much catwalk not much tango. Though I wonder why they were really upset tonight? Hope Bobby and Dianne are okay, 7/10.
The catwalk didn't work--too subdued. Tango is highly stylized; men's catwalk IRL is too cool, neutral, and uncommitted to be plopped unretouched into a tango performance. They're slightly above the clump around 28 points, so probably safe this week.
@@TheJimmyjames25 Dianne also said she pushed Bobby musically and it was a hard dance musically so it was a difficult week for them. I’m just stating my opinion
Nice to see Ballroom Bobby back 🙂 I get where the judges were going with their comments, but B&D were great as always Craig - 7 Motsi - 7 Shirley - 8 Anton - 8 Me - 7 or 8 (not sure which one to give them, but certainly a 7 or an 8) Total - 37 or 38
I'll be honest week after week I've loved Bobby and Dianne but something didn't click tonight. I think I will say for them ballroom I think will always be their weaker area because of the height difference (I don't know if you've noticed but Bobby is having to crouch down a little to reach Dianne's height and although in Tango you have soft knees always it was similar in Week 1). But the thing was for me it lacked in two things being the focus and the attack. Weirdly I don't know if the concept actually worked because for me it lost the essence of what the Tango is and the thing is with it needs that attack. At times we got it but other times it just simply didn't work. I don't know if its a concept issue or if its something bigger but for me it just was a bit of a misfire. 7.
Agreed with Motsi and Craig here, it definitely felt like something was missing, for me it was the passion and sharpness. And was he counting or something, I could see him saying something... Still a solid dance just didn't really have the desired effect.

I agree but I think that was him acting to try and keep in character for the dance.
