For those commenting cruelty - most of these situations are in veterinary settings and are totally safe. Its typically innorder to work on their ears so that the cat doesnt injure itself or the staff. The little wraps that are just around the head work sort of like cones so they don't scratch at their ears (since cats can slip out of cones easier, sometimes we will just have the wrap/"hood" put on) I think the video of the guy in his room with the kitten wrapped like E.T. is fucking weird though
@@Anna464 I know! But it's weird to have them on in someone's house like some of these videos with no other signs, so I was pointing out the vet med side of things

@maschadarlinger1753 It's usually not just a bag. They are covered with a shampoo specifically for killing fleas and the bag is for a few reasons: 1. The chemical and the fleas don't get everywhere 2. The kitten doesn't try to lick it off which could hurt the kitten depending on the type used 3. It actually helps the kittens feel calmer to be swaddled. They will protest, as kittens do, but they aren't panicking and flailing all over the place

Those wraps around the head are also sometimes used to calm them down, especially around loud noises like a hair-dryer etc
