I did that, but the application still keeps showing that I'm in version v1.2.3 and not in v1.40, as shown in the update

I'm trying to do this on Mac but it doesn't recognise when I connect the controller - it just says on "Connect 8bitdo to PC via USB" - I've tried turning the controller off and on again but it doesn't work at all :(
Hiya, Make sure that your cable is not compromised in any way Andt can transfer data, The one that comes with the controller should work but, Mine was working for power then I noticed that the data wire was cut by my cat. And would not register the controller.

for those people who want to update, don't update yet cuz this new update kind sucks because the turbo button are gone
I did and when i test circularity avg error increased to 16%. Meanwhile when original firmware when i bought is only 0.7%. Do you know how to downgrade to v1.08?
Left vibrating trigger is gone.
Mine doesn't get detected by the Firmware Update tool. As a matter of fact, it doesn't get detected at all when wired and no LEDs turn if I connect to a charger. I'm afraid I got mine brand new with a completely dead USB port :( They don't have quality control

My 8bitdo micro worked with my android phone but had high latency. I updated like your video shows and now the controller turns on and connects to the phone but the buttons no longer do anything. Am I forgetting something?
My 8bit controller for Xbox wired doesn’t turn on when connected but I never updated it before is this why it’s not working?

I have the SN30 pro and I’m able to click on the firmware update symbol but after that it loads for about 10 seconds then just prompts me to reload. When I click it, it just does the same thing.

I thought you had to update the 8bitdo device itself not the controller. I'm confused 😕

I have a 8bitdo Pro2 Wired Controller. This is my first 8bitdo and also the last. Every firmware update comes with bugs. After I updated to 1.70v my left trigger stopped vibrating. There's no support on their website and nothing about it in manual, how to reset to factory etc...

I just bought myself the Ultimate Bluetooth edition to play on my PSC through AutoBleem and RetroArch. However I’m having problems getting it connected.
Im hoping once I do the most recent update on the controller it will actually work with the devices I bought it for. Aka Nintendo switch and my Emulator.
bizarrely after I updated my m30 bluetooth controller to v2.0 firmware, my windows 10 device manager now identifies it as a "Switch Pro" controller and it won't work via usb anymore, it will only work wirelessly. I have no idea what happened, maybe it was a windows update, maybe it was restarting my computer, I don't know.
only 2 days ago Windows recognized the controller as an 8bitdo M30 controller and it worked via usb and in retroarch. now, not so much.
Anyone else ever have this problem and fix it?
I think you're in the wrong mode. 8bitdo controllers have 3 modes typically. It probably just defaulted to a different mode. Look up the manual for your model and see how to change modes.
I gotta tell you I've had nothing but problems with the card I bought off of you. I updated os because the controller was having mapping issues and now it's one issue after the other. I tried writing a few emails but have got no response.
Where are you emailing? I'm generally pretty good at responding back to people. Updating the os isn't the route you want to take. Mapping issues can be fixed with a input config reset. Happy to replace the card though and give you a fresh one as the latest os is probably not ideal.

@@RetroGamingGuy well that bites. Not everyone can have a PC. So I am stuck with the basic software. Not that has been a issue too much but if there is room for improvement. I want it.

I recently bought a pro 2 controller and when I hook it up to batocera the left stick starts going crazy like it’s being pressed up or down. I’ve tried it on my switch and iPhone and it doesn’t happen. Have you came across any issues like this with using the pro 2 controller on batocera and if so do you have any recommendations on how to fix it?
I haven't come across that. Does it do that when you map it or after when you go to use it in game?
After mapping it when I use it in game and also in the game list.
Came across that. When I used it on my Nintendo Switch, it was shaking, while on the Ultimate Software it does not happen.
