As infuriating as the cop story was... The cop probably wanted to check the bathroom for needles or drug residue rather than actually use the restroom. It doesn't excuse their behavior tho.

honestly I prefer the old editing style for these kind of videos, although maybe that's just because I'm more used to that version so I probably have a bias

As someone who has worked retail for over 6 years, the dress code thing is absolute bs. I've stood next to a guy who was getting chewed out for a shirt he was wearing and I was standing next to him wearing the exact same shirt and they didn't say anything about me. It's all about control, and snapping at people they don't like. Some people just suck

So apparently bringing in ashes of a deceased loved one is now considered a form of assault on the person who wanted to speak with the deceased in person? Got it

  • @SaltyFreakShow

For the cop/bathroom story, I don't get why some companies refuse to let you use the bathroom unless you pay. If I have to pay to use a washroom, I'll go somewhere else. Simple as that.

    What’s with the videos

My childhood neighbors were my parents' best friends. After decades of living with no fences no one had any clue where the property line was and it didn't matter because all us kids had basically free reign over both properties. If the grass needed to be cut either my dad or his friend would do both properties, depending on who was less busy. They finally had to get a surveyor when my parents decided to sell and retire to Florida but luckily the family who moved in are lovely and get along very well with my parents' besties. This is how neighbors should be.

Props to the supervisor for firing someone so stupid they wanted to speak with a dead person, after they were told and received paperwork confirming they were dead.

I remember my first car sale. The guy listened to what I was looking for, within my budget, didn't try to upsell me on extra features (it helped I was looking for a used car, not much upselling to be done if they already have the stuff), we test-drove a bunch of different cars to see how they felt, and once the car was decided on and was time for paperwork a few days later, instead of holding me and doing sudden "oh, waits", they had a comfortable waiting area while getting everything printed off. It was a pleasant experience!

I think when a person dies it should be reported to the credit bereau, that way they can just run a credit check to verify the person is deceased. No awkward situations, no death cert, customer doesn't even need to know that a check was made, just "can I place you on hold for a moment?" ... 3 minutes later. "OK that acct has been canceled, anything else I can assist you with today?" BOOM. Done.

300% on that dealership thing! You should ALWAYS be prepared to Karen at a dealership, there is a permanent unspoken truce for Karening at dealerships, fuck 'em!

One of my friends in Phoenix (he's gone now, R.I.P. Grandpa Keith) had a bank account at Bank of America for many years. He started getting charged for writing checks or something, and went in to see if anything could be changed, since he'd had the account for decades and had never had an overdraft or anything. Long story short, no, they couldn't. So he asked if he could withdraw the money and close the account. "No, sir. I'm afraid there's a fee for closing the account."

That neighbor one. THAT is really why you call a goddamn surveyor first before you start claiming about borders. The thing is that while property sizes are well documented and all, somewhere along the line there may have been neighborly agreements with previous owners like "Oh, sure you can put the fence on our property. We don't mind cutting little less grass"

I had an employer that changed our dress code from casual to business casual, but forgot to retain the rule about not having wrinkled clothing, so of course we wore our business casual clothes with plenty of wrinkles. I didn't even hang up or fold my clothes after laundering, I just kept them in the laundry basket and dug through it to look for clothes.

Only one experience at a dealership, I walked in with cash. Made and offer. They tried for three hours to upsell, get me to buy new the norm. Got bored, left, bought a used car in private sale for 25% of what I would have at the dealership. Best thing about it, I bought the car from the salesman who I first talked to at the dealership before the manager “took over”.

  • @catkook543

for that last cop interaction, I'm pretty sure they would've had to present a warrant to actually make that kind of threat

  • @JamesFromTexas

Never be afraid to walk away from a car dealer unless you've already signed.

  • @phaedrosx

For the last MC, the worker should have informed the officer that he was told by his manager that he is under no circumstances supposed to give out the code without a purchase. Then the cop would have known exactly who to blame and not gotten furious with him.
