I am biggest fan of Javier Baez!
This guy is a ballplayer in the mold of Mays, Mantle, Clemente. I didn't say he was Mays, Mantle, Clemente but he brings the same skills. Hitting, hitting with power, speed, exceptional defense, 100% all out effort all the time. Trying to think of the last Mets player to have all these skills. Lindor, Baez, Alonso, Nimmo, McNeil gives Mets a great offensive & defensive nucleus to build around.
I’m admittedly not Baez’s number 1 fan but that might be the most disrespectful thing I’ve ever heard
He brings life to the Mets along with his Swag and 🔥
Wish they would extend him. Defense up the middle and top of the lineup would be set from a few years. However I'd like to hear other options the Mets would sign for less that has the power, defense, energy, confidence, run production, and low batting average that we'd lose if he walks...

I told people to don’t sleep on this kid he’s nice and I was right he’s a beast and the Mets should extend his contract.
The one thing I didnt like is how cold he looked in no hit games whiffing at everything, but he showed me that he can slow it down at the plate and go for contact as well. Extend him!

Mets are not gonna do anything. They have no front office or gm. They will lose baez loup stroman conforto and pick up a heap of trash pitcher like walker. Use dom smith and mcneil all year with them hitting .250 and get a lame duck manager to take the fall for a 70 win season. This is the blueprint of the mets the past 4 decades.

javy is way better than conforto, id rather conforto go than javy go. obviously give him the QO but we have guys like khalil lee that would be an upgrade defensively, just need to get the bat going
