I have mine in rose ballerine and a good way to keep the button clean is to not touch it :) If I need to close it, I'll just press in on either side of the button. A lot of the wear and tear is from people touching the button or putting in their back pocket where it's constantly rubbing against something. I love the wine/fuchsia color! So pretty.
