I like the crochet method better because it’s more versatile. When the curls eventually tangle and look old you can always remove them and have normal box braids, or add newer curls to retouch the style!! It also can cut costs because you can pay for box braids and always add your curls on your own later!

Could I crochet in some human deep wave hair? I’ve never seen anyone do that

I would but the 100% human crochet hair online. Saga Crochet is a brand that sells it and a brand called Naked crochet. If you don’t but it crochet, then you would have to buy the weft bundles and cut the weft off, but you would need the hair to be long so you can loop it like you would with crochet hair.
