I bought the Epiphone LP Custom a month ago, and I loved it. It made want the Gibson Custom Shop LP Custom. I took delivery on the Gibson LP Custom 4 days ago and took the Epiphone back to Guitar Center.
Love all the Cream and Led Zep riffs with the Epiphone. A great demo Greg; all the other videos on TH-cam with the Epi are pretty disappointing so this is very much welcomed. Thanks.
@@paulmcguire8359 it's like the esp eclipse guitars. I dunno what it is just the aged looks killer. The finish has this off white hue to it too when light catches the carved top it looks absolute killer.
I have an old 80’s Gibson Black Beauty and just bought the Epi Bonamassa out of curiosity. Hate to say it but this Epi literally kicks the crap out of the Gibson. I don’t know what magic Epiphone put into these but they should cost 5x what they do. Its not easy to impress me as I own/have owned tons of Gibson’s. This Bonamassa BB is unbelievably good.
This was a collaboration between Epiphone and Gibson, plus it's not a cheep guitar. I guess why wouldn't a high end Epiphone be as good as another high end guitar. Plus i think having Joe over see the project means you get a better guitar when it's his name on the line. Your completely right these are sort after guitars and have already quadrupled in price.
Epiphone did good with that Black Beauty. And Greg seemed to bond with it nicely. I hope he kept it. They appear to be sold out everywhere, which was predictable.
The one thing to note with the Joe b black beauty is that has custom pro buckers to match the hot paf pickups in the guitar it's modelled after. Your all ready getting a outstanding pickup with nomal probuckers which are authentic recreation of medium output humbuckers. This was Gibson and Epiphone collaboration that took two years much like the 59 Les Paul and the 61 SG.
a black beauty has to have 3 pickups traditionally but the term black beauty has been used to refer to 2 pickups by gibson incorrectly before. So it's bit uncertain.

Beautiful sounding guitar but that fake yellow binding kills the deal for me. I have a black 2004 Epi Les Paul Custom and it is the best Epiphone Les Paul for the money.

The wood joint from the neck that fits into the pocket of the body is longer than some. The thinking is twofold, a stronger joint and and more string transmission to the body.

@@paulmcguire8359 the colors are accurate in this video. Takes a little bit of getting used to, but it's a good looking guitar.
Ebony fingerboard, fat neck and the long neck tenon are three factors that make this guitar.
