    I have both exactly like you do and I am thinking of moving to full frame. But I really really don't want to sell my X-H1. It's a great body, the shutter is so quiet and the screen is way better for quick shooting. I like the X-T4 but I love my X-H1. I both love and hate the X-H1's size but it is what it is. I've tried the smaller Fuji cameras like the t10 and t20 but I ended up selling them and just dealing with the size issue. Long story short I thinks it's a great camera.

      Ya I can’t get behind high cost of FF and the larger lenses. I mainly shoot the Fujicrons and 18-55mm. FF lenses are all larger and more expensive.

    I hope you kept it mate? I am upgrading from my XT2 to this in 2023 as I love the solid build quality cannot say the same for the XH2 as that feels a little cheap when in hand due to the more plastic aesthetics.
    Yeah the Xh2 is a huge update in AF algorithms and for video specs, bigger 40 meg sensor etc but I am predominantly a stills man and looking for a workhorse. To me it's not all about newer specs with latest processor, etc. I guess I am getting old in saying that but for me shooting the odd Wedding, Portrait or event job here and there. My needs lean more towards a traditional approach via the mechanical dials / switches particularly for slowing down my thought process in landscape shooting especially coming from an XT series 1 & 2. This body will be a match made in heaven also for when attaching my hefy XF glass zooms (16-55 / 100-400) I think this body and grip will be the end of an era for Fuji in the APS-C line as you'll have no choice other than to go their GFX system for a solid build.

    I’m a bit old too.
    I recently purchased the XH1. Bought for $600 and $50 from MPB for the battery grip. Good price. I most use this camera for photography though I do video clips.
    This camera is unlucky. The Sony A7iii came out at about the same time the XH1 was released. Then the XT3 came out six months later. Then the $999 offer.
    Fuji has issued several firmware updates. The camera became much better but the train pulled out of the station. Yes, the kit lens with the OIS and dual stabilization is really good.
    Good enough is good enough.

    I bought an x-t1 in 2018 and it's been my primary camera until now. It's a great camera and a pleasure to use. Just because there is now an x-t5 doesn't mean that the older versions aren't still great cameras. I just bought an X-h1, it's an upgrade from my x-t1 and it's a great stills camera. The only time these cameras don't measure up is when comparing them to better (more recent) cameras.

    • @EDHBlvd
      @EDHBlvd  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      I would personally get the XH1 over the XT30 any day. It’s so much more camera. The image quality difference between the 24 and 26mp sensors is minimal. And the original XT30 doesn’t even get any of the new film sims. You have to buy the XT30ii to get them. The XH1 offers: better handling, better build, IBIS, 1/8000th shutter, longer 4K record time, DCI 4K, dual card slots, very quiet shutter. Way better camera.

    Great video and just in time as I’m searching to buy a second Fuji xh1 camera! I’ve already got a xh1 which I bought on offer 2 years ago for 799 pounds here in the uk with the grip brand new and it’s an awesome camera besides that I own a xt4 too and I sold off my Fuji xt2, xt3 and xe3 recently to fund my gfx50r camera and I’ve kept my xh1 together with my xt4 but I’m thinking of buying another xh1 because at the moment there’s plenty of them on sale and they are going for 500 pounds mint condition here and I would buy it instead of the Fuji xs10 which would be 400 pound’s dearer and I would leave it mounted on my Fuji xf80 mm macro lens where the bigger size of the grip together with its weather sealed body is way better than the xs10 !!! And if you don’t serious sports or birds in flight photography then this camera is a no brainer even for a pro who wants a second body !!!

    • @EDHBlvd
      @EDHBlvd  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Agree. It is such an underrated camera. I had much more interest in it over the XT3, and it was cheaper at time. I still think it’s capability is up there.
      You mentioned selling your XT’s and XE3. I’m also thinking of cutting the XE3 loose. My only hesitance is no longer having a small camera. I’ve taken it so many places because it’s so small. Would be weary no longer having a compact body.

Funny thing I've seen..you first get the camera, and you're aiming it around the room while sitting in the chair, testing the ibis.
