I made this a few weeks ago and just now watched again to make sure I’m not missing anything. I’m going to make it again today to use up some buttermilk and play with starter again😊. This bread is so delicious it’s almost addictive! Last loaf, we kept breaking off little pieces to munch on between meals!

Yay! If you use whole-grain flour you'll decrease the amount a bit or add more liquid. Any grain would be fine (well, maybe not rye ...) 😊 ~ Anja

Since the baking soda reacts with the buttermilk and sourdough starter for the rise could you use discard or does the starter need to be active?
