    This is a demo of the famous RCSwitch library been around for almost 10 years.There are tons of tutorials and examples
    on the Internet.With wiring diagrams and source code. Also ported to Raspberry P.

    Hey
    Not a bad video, thanks for sharing.
    I've had a play with the RC Switch library and have created some interesting projects. However, the library doesn't read rolling codes from common car key fobs. I'm planning an looking at and tinkering with the library code to make this possible (probably above my ability). Do you have any experience in this area?

      The project was kind of a 'just because' and the effort involved eventually outweighed what I would have got from it.

      Rolling codes use secure cryptographic encoding methods. They are designed to be uncrackable. I think you might be wasting your time, unless you have a millenia or two to spare.

      Haha, thanks. It was a while ago when I commented. I was hoping to just be able to receive them, see them and maybe replay them rather than decrypt them. I had 'some' success, but found it was taking up too much time for what would ultimately just be a novelty. Thanks again though.

      You just get the signals by an SDR device its called software digital radio. The flipper zero kinda work like that but its not cheap. 300€. There is a USB dongle device called "rtl sdr" for around 30€. I have one and it works great. Have fun ;)

     @ALPHA Labs I hit a wall. I purchased a 433 Mhz 4 chanel receiver and have a 433 Mhz remote. To make sure they work together, I wired an led to the receiver and am able to control it with the remote. Next I wired data D0 of the receiver to D2 of the Nano and off course ground and Vcc. The Nano works fine and I have used it prior to this for controlling led lighting. Once I uploaded the Demo_Advanced, I expected data on the serial monitor but just have a blank screen. To make sure the monitor works, I inserted a println statement and that shows up in the monitor, but no data from the receiver. I also made sure the receiver is encoded with EV1527. Any ideas?

When I press the same button on the remote again, it turns the LED off. I know how to do that with a physical push button connected to the Arduino, but am not sure about coding it when dealing with the data received on input 2 through the remote receiver. You do realise you can tune the little slug capacitor on the receiver to change the frequency you do this by keep pressing the remote but have the remote far away as you can and turn the tuning slug until the led blinks alot and turns off for a second. Now what is this led you talking about well you connect any colour led (I used yellow) and you connect the led to the receiver ground and to one of the data pins any and you should be able to change the frequency of the receiver. Feel free to ask me a question about this

    • @ALPHALabs02
      @ALPHALabs02  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      If the frequency of remote is matched to the frequency of receiver, it will receive data.
      Data of receiver is transferred to Arduino by wires so that 1 or 10 button isn't problem.
      The important thing is to match frequency between transmitter and receiver.
