I assure you, it's Velvet. I'll eventually get around to posting a video of Sulphur Slide. Velvet changed last year during a big slide, so if you haven't been out since summer 2023, it won't look like what you know.
I will eventually finish editing the Tappan Falls video where all of the gravity-rigged bags fell off the raft over the course of a 26-minute surf that finally ended up being a flipped raft. It was a pretty good time, and the kind of thing that makes a trip so much more memorable.
@@paddlebikediveclimb That kayak looked like a Prijon “invader” kayak. Popular in the 80s especially for self container trips. I took one down the MFS on self contain trips several times.
@@paddlebikediveclimb Wow. The biggest self container ever. A huge friend of mine had one. I still have a “taifun” (typhoon) I use for desert trips. Next size down.
Cheers! We were the other group that day with the lime green boat! Wild ride!
Sweet! Yeah; it was a great time!
This looks like Sulphur Slide Rapid, not Velvet Falls!

Kayakers always like when the rafts make it through because the raft is carrying all their shit!
