Kuhn GMD500 Spindle Rebuild

Installing a new bearing in the spindle. The bearing I bought looks to be a shielded bearing but hopefully it will work.

Looks good from here . Amazon has everything now . I can't get over the humidity in Georgia , Jay I'm not sure I could take all that heat and swampy air. LOL

Thanks Steve! They sure do, but you have to be careful buying from 3rd party venders. The humidity is unusually high for this time of year!

the other inner race is actually an oil seal that must of totally disintegrated. happened to me on a kuhn gmd 44 disc mower

Hey thats exactly what i use my 3/4 drive sockets for too ha. Perfect! Now I would have been their hammering away at that lip for like DAYS with a chisel ha. Not to self don't forget the snap ring! got it :)

Hey Jay. Love your channels. I'm probably a little late on this video, but I have a GMD 600 and have a locked up bearing. Do you have the part number still for these sealed bearings? Thanks and hope the shop rebuild is coming along good.

Awe oh too thick but it went together pretty nice. Hell if it lasts 2 years that's as good as the other one lasted. So if you lose $50 it's cheaper than spending $300. Amazon has everything. I needed a belt for my table saw > Amazon. They made a mistake & sent me 2 so I have a spare lol.

Haha, yeah I think it will Joe. It'll be great if they do! These bearings are about half the cost of the unsealed ones I put in there.
