Wow. I’m sure I had some of those myself or they were in the primary school and infant school classrooms in those wired racks that held books in. Nostalgia bomb much. Fantastic. Hi Kate; I’ve tested positive for covid so am isolating for a week. I’ve got plenty of books to read and shows to watch to pass the time but your videos are perfect for trying to relax and find out new things. After this video I’m going to look for your reading of the Charles II book as that’s my favourite period of history 👑 thank you

Yeah I’m first so a good we’ll I should be moving very soon to a better property for me as I’m disabled after a stroke I need everything on one level I can’t do stairs (Ian says I’m just being lazy ha ha) I’ve been waiting for over a year so it’s a good new year present we’ll wish me luck at least I have your voice to keep us calm
I checked out the Sir Walter Raleigh video, like you said. I enjoyed it, and I am part Cherokee Indian. I took no offense to it. I actually learned a lot about Sir Walter Raleigh, which I did not know. To each their own, I guess.
You can def tell these were written with white British bias, even from the non history books with all characters being fair skinned. I know literature was different back then in terms of acceptance and presentation, I do like the way the paper sounds. Reminds me of the old puddle Lane stories x

im French but found two ladybird books in a flee market three years ago, didnt know they were so famous. Might give one a go they're pretty short.
