As a BMW V8 owner, he’s not wrong. My car never had issues but the N63/S63 don’t hold a candle to B58/S58. The newer V8 cars (S63TU4/N63TU3) are shitting rods past 800-850AWTQ. The tune literally has to be perfect to run those engines with stock rods at 800+ AWHP and 850+ AWTQ. While S/B58 bottom ends are lasting well past 900WHP. All BMW engines have the same issues irrespective of the number of cylinders. Rod bearings, oil leaks, valve seals etc. There’s no issue peculiar to the V8s that I6s don’t have. So BS.
