This is Title fight's standout song in my opinion. This is the one that sounds completely unlike the rest. And the mysterious aura around it is is just.. You know.
At this risk of sounding cliché, I thought the best part of their live show was when they played this song. The crowd sort of came together in a show of solidarity and instead of moshing or stage diving just leaned on each other. Powerful moment.
Yeah I like their other stuff too tho but ik what you're saying. It's to them what paranoid android is to Radiohead or bohemian rhapsody to queen. Their magnum opus really. One of the most beautiful songs I've ever heard and unlike those songs it's just one riff really. Pretty insane
my older brother (3 years older than me) took his life about 2 years ago. I fight tears everyday and will for the rest of my life. he loved title fight. rip justin henry morris, you shredder
This is one of the songs I wish I knew when I was younger while it reminds me of those mid-teenage times. I love it and feel like I missed out by not hearing it earlier
This song makes me feel like I'm a kid again a teenager running around with the boys how far we have come and how far have we grown apart my friend's and to my buddies who passed away I think about ya guys every day I love you Jacob I love ya Robert and I love ya Boston
This song gives me such mental freedom no matter how much i may be going through at the time. Takes you to a place in your youth were you feel alive again.
Check out Hum if you haven't already , they have this exact same sound If you want to hear more post-hardcore/shoegaze bands listen to: The Life and Times, Moreno Chicago, Nemo, Mass of the Fermenting Dregs, bloodthirsty butchers, Coaltar of the Deepers (specifically their 1998 album: "The Breastroke"), Weed ("Deserve") , Narrow Head, Centaur ("In Streams"), Time in Malta And lastly "Tracking Sounds Alone" by Castor. Even "Raise" by Swervedriver kinda fits the formula.
Head in the ceiling fan goes rolling And missing like bullets slamming into deer skin Glued my green eyes to your face, I'm blind Follow footsteps a bleeding bloodline Head in the ceiling fan goes rolling And missing like bullets slamming into deer skin
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I always thought these were the lyrics: Head in the ceiling fan, goes rolling and missing like bullets slamming into deer skin. Glued my green eyes to your face, I'm blind. Follow footsteps, a bleeding bloodline.Head in the ceiling fan goes rolling, and missing like bullets slamming into deer skin.
...omg do people read? I said it started the shoegaze revival that all these formerly pop punk sounding bands are getting into. Shoegaze itself started back in the late 80's
I never thought I’d come out of Kabul, and i wish they closed abbey gate they just didn’t give a fuck about Marines or Paratroopers. Don’t worry though cuz people will talk about Pineapple Express being heroes while our brothers and sisters died saving over 100,000 people.
Ariel Martin really, I love built to spill, but I don’t see it. To me it sounds more like the bands hum, mineral, step-brother, Sunny day real estate, and Christie front drive.
omg this is my favorite song like what the fuck man its literally me when i look at the ceiling fan even tho i dont have one but i imagine one so i can identify 100% with this song omg i swear to god smh lol fr ngl bro omg this is me
Lyrics Right Here ;D Head in the ceiling fan, goes rolling and missing like bullets slamming into deer skin. And I bring a knife to your face, I'm blind. Follow footsteps, I'm bleeding, I'm blind. Head in the ceiling fan, goes rolling and missing like bullets slamming into deer skin.
This song is a blatant Hum ripoff. The band has admitted as much. I'm fine with it, in fact I wish the rest of their material sounded like this, but it's a fact. They deliberately tried to write a song that sounded like Hum.

listen to Head in the Wall by Ethel Cain. they both use the exact same guitar riff but i dunno which one came first!
@@voidinheritant i think ethel cain sampled this

Well this and Safe in Your Skin \ Where I Am
i love Floral Green bc you can hear the shoegaze creeping into the hardcore and its this amazing unique thing
i love that you put this into words
after this album so many bands attempted it but could never pull it off quite like title fight
definitely felt like the song that inspired their direction for hyperview
I always say that this is probably one of the most “shoegaze non-shoegaze song ever”
my older brother (3 years older than me) took his life about 2 years ago. I fight tears everyday and will for the rest of my life. he loved title fight. rip justin henry morris, you shredder
aww so sorry for your loss
Im so sorry for your loss :(
The first time I saw this song live I'm pretty sure I cried.
I think a lot of us did. Really changes the vibe of the room.
You see songs?
from first to last note, this song is perfect.
i love you you"re perfect
I need more music like this in my life
Check out Jank - J A N K. They literally copy this riff and claim that they do in the song lol
Jeebers mcfeeber thank you for that!!! Haha
Check out the band HUM...the singer of title fight has said that this song is heavily inspired by that band.
Also definitely listen to cloakroom. Very similar vibe. And I think HUM helped produce their most recent album
smashing pumpkins - mayonaise
hum - stars
deftones - be quiet and drive (far away)
this song feels like my final chapter
This is one of the songs I wish I knew when I was younger while it reminds me of those mid-teenage times. I love it and feel like I missed out by not hearing it earlier
Completely forgot about this gem then stumbled upon it again & I’m so happy I did.

This song gives me such mental freedom no matter how much i may be going through at the time. Takes you to a place in your youth were you feel alive again.
I remember listening to this song while falling in love with her green eyes. I think I will miss you forever.
Sounds like mix between Fugazi and My Bloody Valentine, in others fucking awesome!
That’s also a pretty good description of hum, mineral, Sunny day real estate, and Christie front drive.
I hear Ride also
Check out Hum if you haven't already , they have this exact same sound

And missing like bullets slamming into deer skin

Follow footsteps a bleeding bloodline
Head in the ceiling fan goes rolling
And missing like bullets slamming into deer skin
When he sings, "Head in the ceiling", reminds me of "Too much and too late" from the song The Scientists by Hum
There is a good reason, this song was inspired by HUM
im so happy i got this on vinyl dude
i grew a strong attachment to this band.
Smashing pumpkins mixed with deftones. This sounds so fucking good
Thank you
Oh hell no lmfaooo
Ehhh, there are maybe traces sprinkled in but this song/sound stands on it’s own two feet imo
Tepat
as soon as it started I thought it sounded very SP
this song hits me really hard.
this song always hits the spot
This sounds like Deftones mixed with Superheaven.

wanky walrus

LOVE THIS SHIT
Bruh the start makes me think of some old Coolmath game, or just an old flash game in general.
Which, in turn, makes me a little sad with nostalgia.
correct me if i'm wrong but this might have been the song that started the whole shoegaze revival we're seeing with all the "pop punk" bands.

+patrick miller I think that Lefty too, maybe.
if youve heard of JANK, you'd have a good idea of what direction this genre went to
this was influenced by the 90s band hum.
So much military goes through my mind with this song and it makes me cry
The boys holding down the airport as all of Afghanistan closed in around them are all I can think about when I hear this song.
@@Evergreen1400 same, this i discovered this song through the video and just stared

Man that guitar is killin it🤘🏻
If Switchfoot and Citizen had a baby, it would be this song.
more like if Tool and Explosions in the sky had a baby
Techinically, Title Fight is a mutated baby between so many different bands.
I mean I just was talking about this song...title fight is definitely a mix of so many influences.
+Shaun M it feels like Deftones to me.
I think the Semen can go as far back as Pink Floyd with that chill sway type sound
Song makes me want to fall in love
Marine gets shot in neck anyone?
This really reminds me of Built to Spill.
Ariel Martin actually, i found this band almost at the same time that Built to spill

It's safe to say that my life sounds and looks like this from my perspective
If there was a theme to the end of the world, it's this.
This reminds me a bit of Denison Marrs. Good stuff.
woah
Not sure why, but this song reminds me of a lot of Hum songs; particularly Stars for some reason.
