I think all three have their place. Gekko has 5 life and gets to run way more defense thanks to leaders ability to re-use the trash resources consistently. Which allows it to simply go wider sometimes. Perona has double searchers baby 5 is a once per turn and with Rosa she can reliably be protected which allows her to have huge hand advantage over Gekko and Saka. Her board control is slightly worse, but trades the ability to really dominate the mid-level characters and play one of the best bombs in the game in the form of 10c Doffy. Saka is Saka able to consistently remove the entire board and thanks to card cycling and multiple searchers is very consistent, and Don efficient. I think what this shows more than anything is how strong black has become as a card pool. It feels similar to where red was before
deck definitely easier to play, and also better into yellow since you put 5k power bodies on the board while attacking hand/board depending on what needs attacking
To Kinda Add, net decking is just safer going in this format BC of how much SakaLucci dominated the East Alot of players either said the break between Dec Regionals to Nats was to learn SakaLucci or create a list meant to beat SakaLucci In OP6, alot of decks are doing well, even if they arent 1st and 2nd which allows variety like Reiju, Yamato, Perona, ect
If you want some different spice with sakazuki, 5 cost kaido event draws you a card and bounces a 5 or less back to hand. Really good in the mirror for their borsalinos, making them have to change their turn to re establish it on board. Also the trigger is draw 2 lol. Another card ive been testing with Saka is the 6 cost Issho, on play a 7 or less character cannot attack until the end of your next turn. Pretty good to build a board and limit incoming attacks. And its 6 so you can rebecca > hina > issho and get three bodies with one less attack to defend. That ones better into yellow imo
Honestly the Perona player had no business winning against Katakuri. It's a strong pick against Sakazuki with the rest ability but it’s going to struggle with other decks as players realise how important rush and their big drops are. Reiju is slowly becoming the darkhorse of OP06 which will feed into the ST13 leaders since they have a similar mechanic. Furthermore every Yamato game I've seen has been close or a blowout if Yamato gets an Onami swing, especially against Perona as it seems to really struggle. Looking back, Sakazuki took a while to rise to the top and I think it's the same for Reiju and Yamato but I think Perona has already hit it's ceiling.
My 2 cents Sakazuki - Premier Control deck, probably the best of all the Black decks. Really wont argue anything about it, if you want to play Black, you might as well play Sakazuki. Moria - 5 life and can build a board. Moria early on was popular because it doesnt auto lose to Sakazuki because you can overwhelm it with your "free" units. Early Moria lists before used to run the 2 Cost Thriller Bark Blocker to be even more defensive Perona - Weaker early game control, better late game bomb in the form of Doffy 10C. Your late game is also annoying since your opponent cannot hide behind Blockers because Perona can just tap them down.
I believe the Hound Blazes and Amu no Murakuma Swords along with 7c Borsalinos bottom decking cards you need in the Trash is what gives it the edge over the course of the game. Both has the 4c strength running along with 8c Gecko, but Blue's removal is an actual counter to Trash interactions. Lastly, Rebecca finds a slot Sakazuki to give even more tempo and Trash interaction.
From what I understand you are on a 3 man team, and no one can have the same deck as the others on the team. Then you go against a team the same way, and whichever team wins 2 out of the 3 matches wins (or if the whole team wins of course). And there was a gecko list on there that was 9-0 I probably could have looked at, but it was very similar to the list we did look at.
100% agree with this, like they clearly want to play off the 2cost slot within Gecko Moria, but just not quite enough shenanigans to justify running it just yet. However, as the game goes on and more options open up it should scale very well.
Very interesting take on that, I wish they had implemented some type of Legendary rule instead, I'm not a huge fan of locking cards, but I think cards that are "of a certain caliber" should have been limited to 1-2 per deck kind of thing. Like if Newgate, 10Lin, Gecko Moria, and Kata were all limited to a 2-of then all the sudden they are still powerful of course, but a lesser chance of being able to spam them and so on. Great comment.

Gecko has 5 life, that's the biggest advantage imo. Makes the deck easier to play too.

Oh that "Another" scratched some kind of itch on me goddamn, beautiful

Set 6 Brook is a super funny counter to cards like Bordalino and Fukuro as well

how does one beat Gecko Moria leader running this package?

My Sakazuki actually plays quite differently than most because of how many yellow players are in my meta. I utilize 8 cost ishho and 10 cost Kuzan
How does 3on3 play exactly?

All gecko needs is a low cost searcher to justify running the thriller bark stage card

will enjoy op5 while it lasts op6 has too much black for my taste
Sick of seeing these navy cards
Sigmas play Sakazuki
Alphas play Lucci 💪😼
LUCCIGANG
They should have just leaderlocked GeckoMoria 8Cost (same with katakuri 8C btw)

@@Vvulfrik this seems like a good solution as well
eh 8C Kata being leaderlocked is kinda weird, card is good but it isnt that game changing like 10c big mom and is being cut in a lot of list in op06
Is there a possibility they will ban navy black cards?
I mean anything is possible, you never know with Bandai, but I seriously doubt they will ban a bunch of Navy cards.
great video but I had to stop watching because of your cough. I would consider maybe editing that out next time, I dont think it would be too hard.
such a weird reason to stop watching.. it isn't like he is coughing directly in your face
