Quite possibly THE coldest moment in the entire show, is right when Daniel has Kreese on his knees. He's very clearly going to kill Kreese, but he looks to Johnny first. For permission. Like, "this is your former sensei/father figure, as a sign of respect I'm asking you." And Johnny gives the nod! And what's insane is they do all of that in the span of a few seconds solely through looks and body language.
Cobra Kai the show is goated and I will never not sing its praises.
Finally a positive comment on the show!
It's fun but the writing is terrible and the characters are immature as hell
@@YusufAli-zy8ze the writing isn’t terrible, altho they do make some really bad choices some times like nerfing Hawk and Kenny, but the characters are not immature half of them are teenagers and it makes sense why they act that way, other than the rivalling karate dojo stuff it’s quite realistic. Of course the fighting and karate is a lot of it tho which makes it the writing unrealistic but not terrible
@@Abdul-salaam-j8s The only decent characters are Johnny, Miguel, Tory, and Kreese in terms of writing, and even they fall short when compared to other shows.
And "teenagers" aside (no teenager I know acts like this) almost every adult in the show is also immature, with the exception of Amanda. The show is entertaining but you have to suspend your disbelief and stop thinking A LOT.
@@YusufAli-zy8ze that’s true, the adults are immature except from Amanda and I’d say Carmen altho not that much, altho i belief there’s way more decent characters like Kenny, Demetri (mostly bc he was a realistic teenager in the beginning series) and Hawk somewhat

The final scene of episode 10 gives me chills every time... 3 seasons built up to that final scene, it's such a great payoff... everything from Kreese calling Silver to Johnny walking out during the drums topped off with Johnny and Daniel bowing to each other... so epic...

time to watch Karate Kid 3. To really get the relationship between Kreese and his friend he called, you have to see that movie
You're missing a lot of context not having seen Karate Kid 3 before watching this season, but the next couple seasons completely revolve around characters and events from KK3. You're doing yourself and your viewers a huge disservice if you don't watch it before season 4 so you have a clue what's going on and are more hyped for it.

I was impressed with the actor for Hawk. He’s always been good, but the change here happened so quickly that it probably shouldn’t have worked, but his faces and line delivery were very genuine. He pulled it off.

While this is not my favourite season anymore, this is definitely my favourite episode. Too bad the Daniel and Johnny bonding is constantly ruined by the next few seasons.
Also Sam running is a legitimate martial arts move. If you can leave a situation, do it the first chance you get. Was this what she was trying to do? No, she was running because she was scared, and I get that, I fully get that. The personally, the sign of any legit dojo is the first thing they teach you being Run Away. I’ve been trained by 5 different dojos and they’ve all said that, because yeah, martial arts is only to be used as a last resort.

Robby is the most misguided character throughout this show, out of all the characters story arcs his was the longest to come to fruition which makes sense because it’s not exactly as easy as clicking your fingers to remedy a 16 year absence of his dad 😅 I love the fact it was a slow burner

But i think the overall point is that "you shouldn't hit your father" simply doesn't really work on the situation since Robbi doesn't view him as a father... If a person has a violent drunk of a father I'm not going to go at them and tell them "you shouldn't hit your father, it isn't right".. Fuck that, father is a title that requires that respect to be earn; and Robbi simply doesn't see him that way... For good reasons
