@JanMichaelManalo-n7v I don't have much experience with kawa, however, a 600cc is always gonna be more cost effective overall. I'm more of a sports bike person so the zx6r would be my choice and is typically easier to manoeuvre over a 1000 but the seating position is better on the Z1000 so makes its quite easy to manoeuvre with added power. but for cost and maintenance, prob looking at the 600. id do insurance quotes for both and then decide from there as they both look good.

@@DSO1994 for sure, I’ve not ridden any of them but can imagine. Shorter wheel base and lighter, turning circles look far better to because of the handle bar position. And thanks, glad to have you as part of the family 👊🏾
@ wheel base on a naked is generally greater on a naked bike due to fork rake & naked bikes are generally slightly heavier but not by much. Obviously those things depend on the bike itself. Gearing on sports bikes is higher & yes upright handlebars are better for street riding as posed to a sports bike. Until I moved out of London in January I would commute from North London to Soho daily, the speed limit was pretty much 20 the whole way... Pedal bikes would overtake me it was stupid.
You say you envy those smaller bikes, there's been times I've got into central London and I envy the scooters, when it's freezing and my left hand can't enjoy the heated grip because I'm having to balance the clutch as i work through stationary or slow moving traffic. I can't imagine using my zx10r in London and thats exactly why it stays in Devon lol.
CCM R35 all the way for me. But for the guys that live in London full time, i can totally relatebas to why you would have your thousand.
@@ukbasedhomeland Devon is definitely a better place to ride.
There are a few places around London that are good to ride, but with me getting my R1 at the back end of summer, I’ll just have to enjoy them properly next year.
A road trip is definitely in order though.
Depends on where and when you’re riding in central. But I agree a ped or E bike is probably the most efficient. @ planning to get zx6r or z1000 just for fun riding for like 30mins to 1hr top. Not for commuting. Been waiting the 790 duke or rs660 but there’s alot of issue about this bike they said. Im in Birmingham. Can you suggest between zx6r or the z1000. Im not looking for comfort. Which bike cost less for maintenance?
@JanMichaelManalo-n7v I don't have much experience with kawa, however, a 600cc is always gonna be more cost effective overall. I'm more of a sports bike person so the zx6r would be my choice and is typically easier to manoeuvre over a 1000 but the seating position is better on the Z1000 so makes its quite easy to manoeuvre with added power.
but for cost and maintenance, prob looking at the 600. id do insurance quotes for both and then decide from there as they both look good.

Great video bro, do you use a pin lock for your visor just wondering because I got some spray and it only lasts about 5 days so thinking about a pin lock

There’s a difference between a 1000cc hyper sports bike & a 1000 naked. Gearing & handling for street use are totally different. Z1000 London boy here. Wouldn’t have it any other way. Subscribed ❤
Weight on a naked, or any bike, can be reduced by a good 5kg by fitting a full system high flow exhaust. Just like chatting bikes 👊
@@DSO1994 ok, didn’t expect that on the wheel base. Your seriously clued up. I use to be that way with cars as I always opted to do any work on them myself first.

yo ski! do you have any tips for getting cheaper insurance? I'm 21, just copped a bandit 600 and bro I'm getting quoted for like 4.5k? london prices, first year rider but bro its NUTS
@@spaceinvader4565 21 & 600 is mad, first year too. Tbh not a massive amount can be done. But I’ll start with adding as many security devices you have to the quote. I think I used to compare and it allows you to add locks and trackers and this helps a little. Also, area plays a big part. If you know someone with a garage who will let you use it, the. Could be worth looking at insuring it there.
Lastly, I don’t k ow how much this can same, but doing an advance course is know to bring the quotes down a lil. IAM or ROSPA Are the two that spring to mind but sure they may be others. Worth looking
Until I moved out of London in January I would commute from North London to Soho daily, the speed limit was pretty much 20 the whole way... Pedal bikes would overtake me it was stupid.
@@mike-e-moto4615 it’s horrendous. Except for when I was the cyclist laughing at all you chumps while flying down the road at 26mph 😆 good times
You say you envy those smaller bikes, there's been times I've got into central London and I envy the scooters, when it's freezing and my left hand can't enjoy the heated grip because I'm having to balance the clutch as i work through stationary or slow moving traffic. If i lived and worked in London I'd be joining the scooter commuter crew, but only as a second "bike", it couldn't be my only 2 wheels
@@Fromatic right with you, could never be my only set of 2 wheels. Smaller bike are alot more fun in most cases but the raw power of these bigger bikes is something that I can’t do without.
But heated gloves are on my ‘to buy’ list… I’ve not been a fan of heated grips and tone that you’ve mentioned that, that’s a another nudge towards the heated glove route. 👊🏾
what insurance you with bro and i go to work on my 125 but do i need to actually put it as social and commuting ? i want to make my insurance cheaper
@@Flock23 I sorted my cover through Swinton and the is insurer is ‘Ageas Insurance Limited’…. Found it through a comparison site.
I’m my case, comprehensive was cheaper than the third party options so I’d always say switch back and forth to see how it changes. With some insurers, the third party options where a few hundred more expensive than comprehensive.
Also, having more or better bike security can help too aswell as having a tracker. I think it’s called GPS Bob where you get a tracker with a few years of data preloaded so your not stuck with a subscription but I’ll Have to confirm that.
As for commuting, obviously you don’t use it to commute every single day ‘wink wink’ and God forbid that anything happen, you were only travelling to the gym near your work place to collect your flask ‘wink wink’.
It takes. Bit of tweaking and adjusting things to try and bring it down, but dont go too crazy and flat out lie/ make things up as this will be considered fraud
I think you said your insurance and road tax (combined) was about £270, if that is true there is no way you are 22 haha 😂🤣!!
£270 is a memorable number for me because back in 1983 when I was 21 I paid Bennett’s £270 for insurance on my Triumph Bonneville 750 (third party fire and theft only).
